I will change my N97 for the Samsung Wave.
What a pity. Would be the perfect phone with OS Android 2.2 instead of Bada samsung only.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2010HELP!!! Any Wave owner facing short battery life problem? How long your battery can last fo... moreI get a day and a half to two days out of my wave with average use. The new super AMOLED does not require a backlight like all other handsets and so saves battery by 30. Hope this helps.
lambert, 03 Jun 2010get x10 its cooler than this rubbish bada os..i vote rhis down ,,get x10thats why the wave is already outselling the x10 and only released a week
Since Bada is closed source I Will choose N8 over Wave. You cant download applications from other source except Bada store. Besides Screen and Fast cpu Wave has Nothing to boast against N8. Cant wait to get hands on N8.

Has anyone experienced the problem i ha... moreFor the issue with you tube player - yes it will freeze the phone once left on Pause and phone dims display but you can unlock the screen, click screen dim button so screen goes black again, when you click button again - you can use the phone again and no need for restart.
The Bada, as Samsung defines it,
is not an operating system, but
platform with a kernel
configurable architecture, which
allows the use of either the Linux
kernel, or another Real-time
operating system (RTOS) kernel.
 The Linux kernel is the
preferred choice for
smartphones, while RTOS is used
for cheaper feature phones, due
to its smaller memory footprint.

Pinoy here, I got mine yesterday from VMall in Greenhills. It only cost me 18800 with the inclusion of a 8gb micro sd though im planning to have it replaced with either a 16 0r 32 gig card. I was disappointed though for I learned that samsung retracted from producing the 8gig internal memory version of the wave, the reason of which i dont know. Nonetheless the phone is superb in all aspects! youre really in for a treat when you buy this phone.
How can I change one of the 3 icons at the bottom of the screen with the "HOME" icon similar to the photo above? Right now what I have are the keypad, pnoebook and messaging icons? Can somebody help me? Thanks.

Wave has been released f... moreMohon, yes its illogical and most foolish thing to boast the thing you dont even own. Based on specs you would not know what issues will N8 have...So you see the logic here or no?????
To anyone who actually owns the S8500: what is the manufacturing country of your device? In other words, what is it supposed to be (China, Korea, etc.)?
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2010Galaxy S has also been released (Europe). It's another tempting unit... jejeCorrect. But the Bada OS and the low price are what make the wave unique. If its fine with you, kindly check availability and price micro SD cards in Baguio with capacities of 16 and 32GB. Thanks in advance.
