Also this phone does have flash the tec thing review suck's, it was made about the very old prototype (Hey gsmarena cant you guys get your hands on a new wave, its basicly out now as its in stores but just not being sold until tomorrow i think and you guys give the best overall reviews, abit soft sometimes tho.....still the best). Anyway for all wave fans that have been waiting for this phones release the wait is nearly over!!!

'smart search' option... it search the whole phone memory for the given word, and gives you the result, for ex. contact list, sms, gallery.... so surely we can use it instead of smart dial.... it is just to make short cut on the main screen....

how many sms can it store in its inbox?
Is it still 200 phone memory? (typical samsung)
Or has samsung learnt to store it in the memory card and it will be dependant on the size of the memory card?
Samsung, 27 May 2010Deaf, Samsung Wave is getting launched across the middle east by mid of June.Where did you get that info?

Anonymous, 26 May 2010Can anyone (specially now owners) confirm the review of Techradar... Please...Hi All, I had a hands on in VDF store yesterday. Awesome screen, responsive UI and nifty browser. Browser has Flash, which needs to be enabled from settings. I think techradar review is done by some loser who did not try out any single menu! Tried few games like asphalt and its awesome. Video recording and playback quality also very good. Booked by preorder with out a second thought

Only windows mobile and Android (Mostly HTC) users will know about it. You don't need to touch contact or phone book at all. Everything is done within phone keypad.
A lot easier and quicker dialing than iPhones and other Nokia phones.
smart dialing no. base is always better than name base in your contacts. it gives you the option to check familiar nos for names you can always tap contact list then type the name of the contact you desire...

ego, 26 May 2010ad the techradar review - so it doesnt have flash after all???The techradar review is not correct, YES IT HAS FLASH. Do not rely on that review, please refer to other sites as that one appears to be heavily biased
scoopyscoopy, 25 May 2010what kind of smart dial you meant? it can do both names and numbers search right on the keypad... morecan you check once more if you still have wave in your hands... becasue I found this in techradar hands-on with wave : ''However, there's no smart dialling here: if you start typing in a number the Wave will complete it based on the numbers in your phone book; we'd prefer it if it worked out what names we were after using predictive text, like the HTC Legend, but you can't have everything it seems.

so it seems there is no 'smart dial' by the names, only by numbers...
scoopyscoopy, 25 May 2010what kind of smart dial you meant? it can do both names and numbers search right on the keypad... moreyes, I meant this kind of 'smart dial' like windows mobile phone, or android devices like HTC DESIRE (just directly from a keypad you dial the name, like you would start to write this name as SMS text).
i really doubt if (among all smartphones) only iphone doesn't have a 'smart dial' as defined above. just for example : what about N97mini, or other Symbian 5th edition? smart dial is not available there...
anyway thanks for your kind answer for my question.
[deleted post]I don't think a multinational company such as Samsung would be racist by not distributing the Wave to the Middle East. What would they get for being racist? In business, money talks louder than anything else.
I'm sure Samsung has its reason for not distributing it to the Middle East now.
Don't be too naive to create any racial issue here.
