You can however multitask the things that have been preinstalled such as internet, music, pictures ect. So all in all its a good thing u can only run 1 third party app at a time this way u wont drain battery or slow down the phone. Also i think its good samsung finally taking its time and not rushing to sell a phone. This means they will make the os as best they can which should be good. For every1 out ther this is def a phone to look out for if u want style and substance

Dear people of gsmarena
i have sent samsung a message requiring why the latness of their samsung product wave.but they have not replied what with samsung finding it hard to release a phone which has been annouced 4 mounths with june 5 months this must be one of the phones which samsung cant handle building and also provides to me to not be worth so if anybody here knows away i can communicate or email samsung requiring info on wave please do. ialso find it stupid that a company like samsung says we will rease it in a pril and then says ow well changed were releasing it july i have one thing for any samsung people here who either represent the company or work for it< "if the samsung wave S8500 isnt reased in may or begining june you can bet your bottom korean money or dolar that i will not purchase your samsung wave and go for iphone 4g so if i was samsung i would just release the phone before my customers go for another company samsung. So either relase it or lose your customers samsung and what i mean either be smart or do the mistake Se did.
Anonymous, 05 May 2010Hella expensive for a fairly new os. Definitely not encouraging users to try it. =/i agree with u . plus i think samsung has done a very mean trick . they have announced the release time for the wave many times ( end of march , end of April , may and finally at the end of June ) , they also has promised that bada store will have 100 apps then 300 apps and what happens is we never see this bada store or their SDK . i think this is pure teasing and disrespecting attitude from samsung . finally by the end of July , the new nokia n8 will be available and it will be for 500$ before tax also next month apple will officially announce their new os and probably the new iphone too and i think htc and nokia automatically will release many products by the summer . what i wanna to say simply is wave is a good product however by the time of the "expecting" release , their will be many other devices better than the wave and even cheaper . and the dream of selling 10 million waves by the end 0f 2010 (for the expecting price) will be just a Big ILLUSION.
The S8500 is responsive and quick. The menu looks almost exactly the same as the iPhone's, but the screen is magnificent. So clear, so crisp. Scrolling is smooth, apps open quickly. I think I'll be getting myself one of these! Only wish it had an FM transmitter.
Anonymous, 05 May 2010Bada OS? *facepalm*HaHaHa. Nice comment. I fear the same.
people seem to think that we dont need another phone os but i dont see anyone complaining about nokia and intel coming up with meego or blackberry inventing brewmobile.new is good cos it means progress!!
Android is a free, modern, good looking OS for touchscreen phones of every phone manufacturers. Why bother to lauch another one especially for Samsung ? I guess because Samsung want to sell us many applications, which could have been free with another OS. Getting more money is what it is all about.
