hey guys i' m new to this with my wave and totally excited, even though i' ve got questions that bothers me. When samsung releases a new bada version, they don't announce it to site n even the kies doesn't work properly on that. Although bada store have a lot of applications for free but all of them don't much for the phone specs. When the real ones will appear(n with charge)? and have you heard anything about bada 2.0? Thank u!
After more than 6 months, this is the best phone together with iphone 4. Both pros cons and very similar, this one at 1/3 of the price (in the Netherlands). Whatever you do you will never regret buying this phone. And for those worried about stability and speed, i never ever ever gets stuck and its easily as fast as i4 bb all
BADA 1.2 is already available in the Philippines
visit SM Megamall service center for update
still no bada 1.2 here in the phil.. so frustrated!
can't wait to update my phone..
I hope that bada 2.0 will be released soon here.,
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2011You can say that. But for us people still stuck with bada 1.0, to hear Samsung talking about b... moreu answer ur question. touchwiz UI, sense UI.. these things r now found in every touch phones & for making some adj & somes change it always takes time. yes in iOS we know the phone will get the update. even in Android too. but when, did we know that? no.. maybe within 6 months or a year! & tht's wht am talking about. every company takes time & follow their own move.
another thing is marketing move. if the company give the same update which the new phone have then why will u go for the newer 1? for ex. apple 3GS users r getting the same update which 4G r getting now. then why those ppl will go for the 4G when the same thing r getting here?
no am not making ny excuse for ny company. am standing in the middle of my point & from that trying to look their view!
in PCmag, "Hong said Monday that Bada 1.2 will launch in the first half of the year, with Bada 2.0 coming in the second half. He promised new features like near-field communication and HTML5, which will be in Bada 2.0". if this is true then S8500 will get update bada 2.0 without NFC.

hi guys...is the difference between 3.6Mbps of WAVE and 7.2Mbps of others such as IPhone3GS noticeable during web surfing? thanks!
guys.. happy news... bada 2.0 is coming to s8500.. soo relax.. nd get ready to update the king of the phones to its ultimate form.. :)
I am about to buy a Wave...not sure if I should buy a Wave I (S8500) or Wave II (S8530). When I checked with the prices at Dubai Duty Free...the Wave I (S8500) is more expensive than Wave II because of the SAMOLED display! Please advice...thanx!
I have been with the wave for the last 8 months and it has been a great phone, but without the updates coming and lack of apps and smartphone programs which this phone could handle with ease I will be selling this phone and moving onto the Galaxy 2.
I think bada 2.0 will never been seen on this mobile, Samsung are more likely to release a new phone with updated software than provide updates. Makes sense money wise.
can anyone please tell me if the difference between 3.6mbps (wave) and 7.2mbps (iphone 3gs/others) of data speed noticeable during surfing?

godzilla, 15 Feb 2011the bada 2.0 will release in april according to samy.

What's with the delay in the roll out of bada 1.2 anyway? In Android, any delays is understandable after all the customizations done by every manufacturer. Touchwiz UI, Sense UI, Timescape, etc. In iOS, at least you know your phone is definitely getting the update. But in bada? Maybe you can explain.
In bada, Samsung is all talk, with timeframes so broad and vague. Pure PR talk. Aimed specifically for developers.
I admire your attitude, very optimistic. But don't make up excuses for Samsung's inefficiencies.
I'm a reasonable guy, but this long months of waiting is getting on my nerves.
If you are willing to wait, then wait.
I'm out of here. This will be my last post.
As I said earlier a Million times, it's now proved.
Where is Phones Fan, huh?
Anonymous, 15 Feb 2011bada 2.0 in April, you say? Yeah right. Sorry but I can't help but feel a bit skeptical about ... morethe bada 2.0 will release in april according to samy.
the updates didn't come often for ny OS. it doesn't matter whether u go for android or nt. android & apple is much superior OS. but even they also takes time for update. android won't come this far if they don't take time to update their os. when an update release it didn't change 1 or 2 things. lots of things change according to versions. there r not 1 or 2 software present in a phone. lots of software getting realese now-a-days. from that they see, they judge & then take dicission whether it'll go or get update or nt. & for that it takes time.
if u want something new, good & stable os u've to give time. otherwise it'll be like symbian!..
godzilla, 15 Feb 2011as far i see samy will do 2 things to update bada. whether they will update to v1.2 & then... morebada 2.0 in April, you say? Yeah right. Sorry but I can't help but feel a bit skeptical about these updates. I don't know how long I have to wait.
Some things just never change, I guess.
Better get myself an Android phone. Definitely not from Samsung.
