Usman, 03 Jul 2012Bada 2.0 is still awaited in Pakistan. What a pathetic OS and Samsung is also disappointing it... moreBADA 2 is still unnavailable for TPH Operator-Free phones in Portugal as well.
But anyway, from what I've read around, many users that upgraded are not so happy now cause some useful definitions were not included in BADA 2. Besides, it's lightly slower and increased power and data consuming.
Personally, I'll stick with BADA 1.2, it does the job perfectly and for my use, there is no app I'm missing.
And it still is a great phone!

Wadebrosh, 08 Jul 2012Just Upgraded to Bada 2.0. Can we still increase the maximum volume(music, voice call &... moreYes you can increase volume using the same code in bada 2. I id it. But the changes wont show: the numbers will stay the same but in reality they will be changed. Strange but true, try it...Remember to write somewhere the original values in case you need to change back to original.

Just Upgraded to Bada 2.0.

Can we still increase the maximum volume(music, voice call & etc) using the *#197328640# code?
I can't change the values from 0 to 6.

Your opinion and experience using bada 2.0 is highly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, there are so many different mobile phones (nokia e71, black berry) earlier than wave. But it was something of quality and regard. Still compatible for the most part of telephony, light use for reading or video capturing.

Major drawbacks after upgrading to BADA v2.0. Here go's the List:
Missing, Music ID.
Missing, Pause option in video recording.
Missing, on fly brightness adjustment during video call.
Missing, zoom option in video call.
Missing, adding Image and video files, during video call.
If u dont want miss these very important featured, do not upgrade for BADA v2.0!!!!!

I've been using the S8500 wave for two years now and I still impressed with its features and I'm enjoying swipe and it never went in for repairs, I get three days battery with heavy use incl listning to music, I work on da road so I get a lot of calls and music is constantly playing. I'm using bada 1.2 and I'm enjoying it, I'm very sacared to upgrade to 2.0 because of all the bad revievs I'm reading. Please advise if it's advisable to upgrade to 2.0 or stay on 1.2. Thanks.

I wish Wave had 512 MB of RAM, the RAM mangement in BADA just sucks. after installing 2.0.1 i need to restart phone atleast twice a day to play any hd game.

When i bought the wave it was fastest in the market, lot faster than android
but today even Galaxy Y feels smooth for test responsiveness.

Build quality is superb, audio quality is fantastic but this OS is CRAP
Fed up with you BADA

Even if i want to change my phone, i dont find any proper upgrade, I want android with build quality of Wave.

I am using Samsung Wave 1 for 2 years now. No problems uptil now, never ever went to service center. Although a lot of knowns reported the phone to be problematic it worked fine for me. Battery backup was great too until I upgraded to bada 2.0. Still battery backup lasts over one day. I think that is good enough considering today's smartphones. No match for Android but still a good phone for not so app savvy people

2 years of usage and phone is still great: battery, camera, speaker,.. Did not like Bada 2 at first but now it is Ok. That is with phones like that, that Samsung has become number 1 in the world. But i will probably get soon a new Samsung with Android and big screen, GS2 i guess. Too little applications with Bada.
