dave the rave, 17 Jan 2011You have no clue at all do you? be honest? To be honest, I was just stating facts. There were a few typing mistakes courtesy T9. So 'thing' became 'tgingr' and on one place 'up' became 'us'. Anyway, the important question is not whether BADA is an OS or not, it is whether Samsung has the intentions to develop BADA enough to match competition, because BADA is their secondary OS their primary being Android. Hope you and the people here get the point.
I'm still waiting for bada 1.2 to come. Hope I don't tired waiting and its worth the wait.
Been dying to know this: Will the Equalizer and Effects work on M4a audio format in bada 1.2? My music library are all encoded in M4a (nero) format. And can you set M4a as ringtone?
MP3 - large file size compared to m4a and Wma
Wma - difficult to put album art, hisses for "s" become to pronounced.
M4a - better compression at smaller file size but Equalizer and Effects doesn't work, and can't be set as message alert tone.
When browsing the internet, I always get the "Not Enough Memory" and "Memory Full" error messages. Sometime pinch-zooming doesn't work. Gets the "Format Not Supported" when trying to download content.
Mobile AP no longer works. (Maybe just a configuration problem). The more I wish Samsung Wave supports Bluetooth PAN service.
The message capacity of 1,300 is too small. I haven't reached 1,100 messages, I already got the "Memory Low. Delete some messages..." error.
If I'm to prioritize OSes, bada will be at the bottom of my list. :-(
I'm still on bada 1.0
No plans on updating to 1.02.
downloaded kies 2.0 and tried to update my phone but still get the same problem as the older kies.downloads the update 100% the phone disconnects before the update can start.guess im just unlucky when it comes to kies.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2011The phone is good. But still no good apps, no games - just nothing to use with 1 GHz processor... moreAcctually you can find some greeat games! For example Caligo chaser and Space Hell! Both games are incredible!!! :D And even more can be found if you know where to search!
Teez, I've had lag after downloading firmware updates for the Wave in the past. Backup your memory on Kies version 2 and then try a full factory reset. Should be fine once its reset.

AkM, 17 Jan 2011hey guys, i am currently using LG optimus one is worth to upgrade from optimus one to wave or... moreGo for Android. Samsung Wave got an excellent hardware, no question about that, but the OS.....
The phone is pretty good with BadaOS 1.2. However i have this idiotic problem where i don't see names for received SMS messages. If that same person calls me, i see his/her name. But if i receive SMS, all i see is their number. However if i add +386 in front of the number, i see the name for SMS, but then i don't see the names for calls. This is driving me nuts.
I've been asking everywhere, tried every possible thing by copying contacts, creating them from scratch, moving them, exporting etc etc. Nothing works. Anyone here has any idea how to fix this? Not long ago someone posted some code for a hidden menu with some setting to solve this but the code doesn't work on Wave.
i heard that the Bada 1.2 version of the operating system came out... but in limited countries.. so if that is true well how to get it??? oh and Btw samsung wave is a very neat phone..... but which is better N8 from nokia OR wave s8500 from samsung ???
