It takes ages for the phone to copy/delete a movie.
So what's the catch? Reduce battery performance?
That's a price I'm willing to pay. :-)

Latest and recent updated Samsung KIES version 93_82 solved this issue :)
Hey guys, i found this also:
many of you probably didn't noticed any difference between cp uart(full power) and up uart(battery saving mode). But the difference is BIG.
Read/write speed is 7 times faster in cp uart mode
Press 4 then 6 then 1 and you will see the result of ap uart mode, now change it to cp uart mode and do the sam thing ;-)
Anonymous, 20 Oct 2010Most of you should have noticed that with the new versions of KIES 1.5.3..., whenever you clic... moreHalf-baked updates. Typical Samsung. Living-up its reputation.
Thanks for the suggestions there. But I'm not doing it. Maybe later when I feel like being geeky. LOL.
But thanks anyway. :-)
If you have problem with battery, go to service menu *#197328640# and go to (8) Common.
In next menu go to (8) DVFS Configuration and press 3 (200mhz) and with this downclock your battery is MUCH longer!
Anonymous, 20 Oct 2010just make sure that the camera tuning is on and that mDNle tuning mode is onSamsung turned those features off.
There must be a reason. :-)
Unless you can explain what those features are for, I'll settle for the default settings. ;-)
Most of you should have noticed that with the new versions of KIES 1.5.3..., whenever you click on the Upgrade icon and later tries to close the sub-window, that it takes a long time to close and usually displaying th error message: "MST Thunder Firmware has stopped working".
The problem is because of a missing subkey in registry which was not created by the installation of KIES 1.5.3....
The missing subkey in registry is "FUS".
Solution: Go to registry and add the missing "FUS" as shown below:
How: Click Window Start=> on search/cmd line enter, regedit => expand "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" => expand "Software" => expand "Samsung" =>
right-click on "Samsung" and select "New" => click on "Key"
(a "New Key #1" will be created) => rename this "New Key #1" to FUS.
That's all. MST Thunder error is solved.
just make sure that the camera tuning is on and that mDNle tuning mode is on

mano, 19 Oct 2010Dear David,
Update kies to the latest version 126.96.36.19993_82
This update has resolved this... more10093_82 is no good. Kies no longer detects my phone. Display something in Korean. Really.
I don't need half-baked updates.
hayato, 19 Oct 2010Thank you for your reply. It's just hard for me to decide when i haven't seen the screen mysel... moreI got same reaction when I posted something. Pretty rude.
Regarding the mesh-effect of S-AMOLED screens. Been reading about that issue. Here's what I noticed. It seemed that only Samsung Galaxy S owners are complaining about the mesh-effect and fuzzy edges of text. I have Wave and no problem with fuzzy text even when zooming to its full resolution. Its pretty clear and sharp. And the mesh-effect is not that pronounced. Its only visible on certain colors and when held close to your face. Very negligible but it's there due to the Pentile-Matrix technology used.
IMO green color came out just to over-saturated due to the RGBG thing :-)
Maybe Galaxy S and Wave uses different screen technologies or it might be that Galaxy S has a bigger screen. Only Samsung can tell.
SLCDs have more natural colors but SAMOLEDs have deeper black (really amazing) and punchier albeit more saturated colors.
Bang for your buck? Go for Wave.
