Samsung's very own Galaxy S is killing Wave. They are promoting Galaxy S and Wave in same commercials but Galaxy S is highlighted more and promoted intensively. Strange is many people don't even know if there is any phone like Wave. They go straight in shop and ask for Galaxy S. Wave is out of stock in many street shops (where Indians prefer to buy phones than in company showrooms). Price difference between them is becoming smaller as well. Now one can get Galaxy S under 25K. If Samsung have to make Bada a strong community, they will have to promot it. Times of India has negatively reviewed Wave and Bada OS. Mouth publicity is mixed (Galaxy S one the other hand is praised everywhere). Hope Samsung focus more on Wave and make it most successful phone.
sunny, 11 Aug 2010Hi guys, i want to know about Samsung Wave. I am currently using N85 & now want to replace... moreN8 does not have the Android mate. :) It still has symbian. Though it is a new version Symbian^3. It will probably be released in September. Now it would be apt if you ask further questions about Nokia N8 in its respective forum. :) You may get more precise information there.
You are right. Samsung Wave is a new phone with a new Os and there are not many apps available as yet. It is the best phone in its price range though, having all the features and excellent hardware with impressive build quality. It'd do you better if you check all the phones out personally, get their feel in your hands...see the super amoled on samsung and know if it really works ;)
And then research further on the ones you like if you still cant make your mind up.
Can you pleasa tell me how to connect Wave with Kies via Bluetooth? I have the latest Kies (Kies_126.96.36.19974_2_6) but every time I try to connect via BT it sais: "The device is not supported by Kies". I reinstalled Kies, the BT, the drivers for the phone but without success.
Can you help?
Hi guys, i want to know about Samsung Wave. I am currently using N85 & now want to replace it. Have shortlisted Nokia N97Mini, HTC Mini HD, Samsung Wave & Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro. Though i liked the Samsung Wave but still i am confused as i have always used Nokia & Samsung havent given some real good products in past, so am confused whether to go for Samsung or not, also how will be its reliability & longevity & the future for Bada OS. Bada is new so might not support many applications which will limit its work.
Also do you know when will the Nokia N8 is going to release in India, i guess that will be a very good phone with almost all features with Google Android OS but what can be its expected price & launch date?
Guys please help...
I urge all of you to google "Swype for bada" and vote for it. :)
Ps : One person can give 3 votes at once.
vlmxs, 11 Aug 2010What do I choose Samsung Wave or HTC Desire? Can't decide on this...I would recommend you go for the samsung wave. Its much more better, it has a slimmer look, better camera, longer battery life, its also using an open apps so you can download more apps, larger and better touch screen and has a mobile tracker! If you want android OS then buy the galaxy which is even better than the Ipone!!

vlmxs, 11 Aug 2010What do I choose Samsung Wave or HTC Desire? Can't decide on this...Still i will recommend that you should have live hands on both phones. Go to respective showroom. I have recently purchased Wave and used couple of android phones as well (Nexus one and Legend). I liked user experience of android a lot more. Now I am waiting for Desire HD or any phone with Android 3.0 compatiblity (preferrably by HTC).

Oh you are right. I'm try to open a new tab while click on the link. Now only know the way to view the link at GSMArena. :( Because all the while I was used to open a link in new tab.
Thanks for pointing this.
vlmxs, 11 Aug 2010What do I choose Samsung Wave or HTC Desire? Can't decide on this...If you have budget, blindly go for desire. Its a android with smarter functions. You wont get Super AMOLED but AMOLED/SLCD on desire is just fine considering other benefits you get with Android platform. And honestly, Bada is nothing in front of Android. Same goes to TouchWiz UI vs. Sense UI. Touchwiz 3.0 UI sucks compared to Sense UI on HTC android phones. Also, desire is getting 2.2 Froyo update.

DCP, 11 Aug 2010Is wave produce better audio quality (In terms of headphone) than Galaxy S, Apple Iphone 3GS, ... moreDont know about the Iphone 3Gs, but definitely a bit better than Apple ipod touch (personally experienced). Since Ipod is a dedicated music player, I think i'd naturally be better than Iphone itself (I could be wrong though since I have not used an Iphone or tested it).
Better than x6 (personally checked). Havent tried it on galaxy S, but I assume it would be the same on both.
