Usd this phone for almost 3 weks now, no fireware upgrade yet. Battery lasts over 2 days with moderate use. Only issue was that it switched on and off 4 times so far while opening some apps I've downloaded.
Otherwise all is great and very smooth. I highly recommend ths phone.

Handset superb, samsung apps suck! it depends in what country you are but in the philippines you cant purchase anything in samsung stores unlike in U.K. or australia... even if you try entering your credit card with diff location you just cant purchase games! it sucks whats the difference... itunes is better
hai guys i bought samsung wave. The phone is outstanding in all matters especially for games, music and for other entertainment. The only thing that is ennoying me is its web browsing,it is not upto smart phone standards. If browsing improved on this phone I think there will be no phone to beat samsung wave.Regarding applications, since it is newly launched os definetly the coming days will be amazing as the store grows.
Anonymous, 06 Aug 2010I get about 2 days from my battery with moderate to heavy use, but some others are getting as ... moreno point getting Wave, than got to worry about the battery life, some posted their Battery life feedback here cannot be trusted. as far as i know 2 days only, this also confirm from sales person, only consolation is that you can buy additional battery.

So it bothers me since apparently I'm getting the short end of the stick. The sales personnel told me to "condition" the battery by charging it 10 hours the first time, which I didnt do since I thought lithium batts didn't need that anymore. Now I'm wondering if those who get long batt life did that.
Anyway, the battery life isn't living up to expectations set by the reviews (which rate it highest among today's crop), but it shouldnt be enough to stop anyone from getting the phone. It's really a good performer, so the less than expected batt life is liveable and there are ways to get the batt functioning longer between charge cycles (turning on wifi, location services & bluetooth only when youre going to use them, which I thought I can simply leave on all the time, for example, these make a huge difference). It really shouldnt be a deal breaker
wow this 2 days many negative feedback on wave phone, battery is the main feedback here.. hmm.. i prety much decided to buy Wave this monday, now i have doubt

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2010How about TouchWiz on Galaxy S? Is it same as on Wave? A one on Wave is boring yaar.. Thats a ... moreTouchwiz on Galaxy S is almost similar to the Wave, but the Live Wallpapers do make a huge difference.
The widgets on the wave are admittedly huge and busy-looking. But that's the point exactly -- it gives a different feel to the UI. But if you want icons with the "neat placement and professional feel", just press the menu button and you have it right there. Now if you get tired of that, you have the funky wave standby screen that can even scroll (use landscape-oriented images) and even use animated wallpapers (gif and png). The stock Sense UI screens may be already pretty at default, but the TouchWiz UI in Wave and Galaxy S really gives you a lot to work with! Try looking around the net for samples of wave users' screens and you'll see how far the new TouchWiz UI can really go! Pretty amazing stuff!
