Hey Saurav..
for changing to default value follow the same procedure n ... moreHey Jatin, I did the following steps, please confirm I did it right.
Entered *#197328640#, the 'Menu' came, then I clicked (5)Audio-(2)AP Volume Config-(1)RCV Config-(7)Voice call volume and changed all 7 lines to 75dB from 58dB and then I went back two steps to (2)EAR Config-(7)Voice call volume and changed the 7 lines to 75dB from 58dB too. What is difference between 'RCV config' and 'EAR Config'? I just want to have louder earpiece volume in a Call, I am not interested in louder music or anything...So did I do right or I need to modify anything else?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

jp, 04 Aug 2010Wave or Galaxy S?
They have the same processor (apparently also used in iPhone4), same unma... moreForgot to mention also that the Wave has a very strong led light for photos and vids (comparable already to xenon, I think, not like the usual Samsung leds that leave you wanting). Galaxy S did away with any kind of light for the camera, bad call really.
Since the Wave is smaller, its battery life might just very slightly last longer too (though not sure about this). But it has a smaller memory too (2gb vs 8/16gb), and coupled with an OS in its very infancy, some may just find GalS to be a comparatively more stable environment than Wave.
Note that these two are smartphones. So since they're essentially pocket computers, don't expect not to experience a crash here or a bug there. Everyone who's really used a smartphone (whether symbian, windows mobile, pocket pc, etc) as a smartphone has lived with this. If you really can't stand crashes, don't look to multitask. Yeah, there is a threshold, but the concerns you read about the Wave in forums such as here are nothing very different from every other smartphone issue, and nothing that firmware updates (or a once over of the manual) can't really fix. =)

They have the same processor (apparently also used in iPhone4), same unma... moreIt very simple,
if you want the better choice of apps, biger screen go for Galaxy s
if you want a phone which looks and feels solid, and limited apps but growing, and you can easily carrying it about then go for WAVE
I personally think wave is the best phone ever made and for years to comes it would still be usable and competes
good luck
Anonymous, 04 Aug 2010which is better wave or galaxy
what are the advantages / disadvantages of both
Wave or Galaxy S?
They have the same processor (apparently also used in iPhone4), same unmatched super-amoled screen technology (reportedly better color saturation than iPhone4 which, for its part, reportedly has better contrast), hd video recording, instant play of hd videos (even mkv files), etc.
Galaxy S screen is bigger though (4" vs. 3.4"). So decide if you like a bigger screen or a more pocketable gadget.
Android OS (GalS)is more mature than Bada (of which Wave is the first and currently only phone), putting some countries wherein Samsung hasn't set-up a payment scheme at a disadvantage. Some paid Samsung apps also are priced ridiculously high compared to Apple App Store or Android Market equivalents. On the other hand, Wave is priced about 2/3 compared to GalS, which is a lot more money.
Personally, I wanted a bigger screen, but I just couldn't bring myself to cough up money for a gadget that has cutting edge tech that will be yesterday's news in a year's time. (The original iPhone seems so ancient now, but it's been just a bit over three years ago when everyone went crazy over it). Wave seems such a steal at its price, since it has most of the goodies found in Galaxy S.
Get yourself a Wave now. Then with the price difference you've already started up a fund for the next-gen tech to succeed your Wave, which you can get sooner than if you get a Galaxy S now. Hope that made sense. :D
