I have this phone. According to my opinion it's very good phone. Excellent display (with true resolution 800×480 and not like AMOLED, when is 800×480 for green colour only - red and blue are with less resolution). But Samsung has a problem with applications for these phones: unavailable for some countries only (for example the absent for East Europe) or a few quality applications. I'm waiting for the new version Bada (2.0) and for a new applications after open source of Bada.
Good Luck Samsung.
Randa, 29 Mar 2011I got WaveII s8530 as a first samsung phone after using many nokias. I don't know about Nokia ... moreI have to agree, for that price, GPS Nav should be included & free. Nokia phones don't need a data plan to use the GPS, also Symbian is much more battery efficient than any other mobile OS out there.
I am using Samsung wave-1 Since july 10.
Even it has 1 Ghtz Processor but i didn't feel diff.
It will slow down too much when u use its widget which needed internet connection.
One more issue which i have observed it will switchoff any time, even battery has charged.
But the biggest issue is samsung's after sales service. My handset have a display issue and i am still waiting for resolution(8 monhs).
Its battery gets too much heated when u use 2-3 apli simultaneous.
So i never recomment it for any user. Please go with Sony or Nokia.

if only this phone had super amoled plus display it would have been really great, but now it is a useless phone.i wish samsung use superamoled plus display and dual core cpu in wave iii with the same design as used in this phone
I am a proud owner of wave II but lately im not so happy with the camera specially when zooming and taking pics.
Pics are not clear at all, very blurred even after adjusting anti-shake and all other settings. When i take pics without zoom then they are very clear.
Is this the camera problem or some settings problem.
Pls help me.

mido, 29 Mar 2011hello all i appreciate if any one advice to me to choose which phone is the best Nokia C7 or S... moreI got WaveII s8530 as a first samsung phone after using many nokias. I don't know about Nokia c7 in particular, but although wave II's screen is magically clear and colored, I got so disappointed to find GPS not working unless buying a software licence while all nokia's software is already loaded and for free
