Anonymous, 21 Nov 2010Not true, they chose LCD over AMOLED because it proved to be better, and more appreciated than... moreSuper Amoled is the latest technology, S-lcd is quite old and LEDs r always better than LCD. And as a matter of fact LCDs are more power hungry than LEDs. The contrast of LEDs r unmatched. LCD can never compete with LEDs... If anybody says LCDs r better than LEDs then they r probably the biggest liars on the planet. Lets b honest the wave n galaxy outsold other phones mainly due to the super amoled display n nothing else...
freaks lcd is mch betr thn amoleds(n8)and retina display(i phones) bt far far behind SUPER AMOLEDS(WAVE1,GALAXY TAB AND S)
sam ryzi, 21 Nov 2010the indian cost is Rs:17,350Where did u get this buddy?
all people saying super lcd is better than amoled are plain stupid. they're still in deinal because they either promote this new wave or have this phone.
hello my dear wave frndzz.....any 1 knows when bada 1.2 comes in kies for s8500?????
Wave insider, 21 Nov 2010I hope they do re-launch the wave but the fact is samsung has reserved its super amoled screen... moreNot true, they chose LCD over AMOLED because it proved to be better, and more appreciated than AMOLED. AMOLED is fuzzy for text due to pentile technology, consumes more power for viewing web pages and book readers with white background, which are the most. So AMOLED is a failure, at this time, at least.
Krishari, 21 Nov 2010i heared that s8500 is gonna be re-launched do you knew is real?I hope they do re-launch the wave but the fact is samsung has reserved its super amoled screens to the executive range of phones(i.e fones costing Rs 27000 and above), the original wave being the only fone with s-amoled screen priced less than 20k. The wave wil b relaunched only if the wave II fails miserably in the market which seems very uncertain..
Krishari, 21 Nov 2010i heared that s8500 is gonna be re-launched do you knew is real?heard that too...i wish it is true....i also heard samsung hasn't stopped manufacturing waves in india as demand is gigantic ...and mkt will flood with wave within 3-4weeks ...again..i wish it is true
