Not had one update for my Wave S8500. Bought it unlocked. Now given up on Bada and gone to Android.
it provides unbelievable and amazing entertainment with beyond clarity.

The only thing that I do not like about Bada is that it's really like TouchWiz for Android. I mean, everything is like Android. I just wish they could get some creative minds on this project to make something that could make it unique. Having that said, I do still find this OS attractive, well, with a price of 280 euros, it's quite cheap for a 1.4Ghz handset. And being a developer for bada is quite great, since you can upload apps to samsungapps for FREE unlike Windows Marketplace ($99/year), Android Market ($25 one time registration fee) and finaly iOS ($99/year).
I have used the Wave 1 with BADA 1,2 for awhile now. I will not buy this phone as there are huge limits with the APPs. After almost a year there is still no angry birds or skype or google maps that works with gps or 'whats app'. All my friends with blackberry and iphone, android have 'whats app' but i can't so i have to sms and everyone laughs how stupid the phone is because of that. My next phone will be a iphone or Android. If you want cool apps like 'whats app' and games etc, look elsewhere.
jai, 08 Dec 2011actuly i wanna say that this phone us very good but its price little bit high so please do som... moreGo buy a lottery ticket lol....

actuly i wanna say that this phone us very good but its price little bit high so please do something i wanna buy this cellphone but its little bit costly
for me bada is very easy and convenient to use. maybe it still stand behind ios but definitely better than android or symbian. look i am talking about the os not the apps. yes bada 1.0/1.1 have some minor problems but 1.2 corrected them mostly
the only thing i found less attractive in bada is the dolfin(2.0) browser which is still not so impressive, hopefully the 3.0 ver will stand out this time.
hardware wise wave is the best in the market, the metal finish is better than plastic on other smartphones. but metal do have its pros & cons compare to plastic, its very slippery, not much grip, heavier, more expensive when it comes to changing a damage housing. the internal parts; cpu, ram, display, etc are on par or above its competitors
design wise i think it can be better, i like other smartphone designs compare to wave, maybe because of the color finishing or the overall buttons/ports/camera/jack placement.
the apps part has the most complaints from users. but i think these come from much younger users ie; 15-30 age group. for adults i dont think its an issue because no matter how many games/apps/utilities you have in the market the most we need is around 20-50 i think. and in this 20-50 apps most are available in all markets ie; ios, bada, android, symbian, windows etc.
At last the full review is out and all's well as wave3 is well me like it me want it me will get it when it come to Nigeria as my wave 1 has proven to be a good phone.
bada doesnt suck on the software part
its fast, smooth, perfectly stable as an ios
the number of apps is its only weakness atm
but people seem to forget
its a young O.S. with a father who's favorite at the moment is a robot(android)
I mean bada O.S. is faring well compared to some such as meego(younger O.S. abandoned by the parents) and wp7(strict parents) and symbian(reunited with the parents) so far
langeman, 05 Dec 2011As a software developer I quit developing games for bada. They ask $29 per review. First they ... moreI don't know where you get that information. I have many apps for bada on samsungapps, and I didn't need to pay anything. Certification/sellers fee is free, promotion is free, you can sell your apps for free and certification is really one of the best. That's why you see so many themes, because everyone can create it and sell it without any expenses. In certification they reject every app if it has even minor bug and many developers are running away if they can not fix bugs.
Overall: Phone is superb and performs much smother than any android and I have owned many of top class android phones and I will never go back again.
Bada is solid and IMO right behind ios, also Wave phones are build like master pieces with good materials and unique and beautiful design.
Only thing missing on bada is apps, and developers are working hard to change that.
langeman, 05 Dec 2011As a software developer I quit developing games for bada. They ask $29 per review. First they ... morei am owner of wave2
yes agree with you,and half of app store is fulled with theme ,people never download themes, and they don't give trial version of good hd games so people cannot test hd gaming performance of wave2 who has not credit card,90% of us don't have credit card, you can see comment of asphalt5 game.people are waiting for phone bill or dibit card
they are world's most no.1 mad people
As a software developer I quit developing games for bada. They ask $29 per review. First they ask to change the layout from Y to X so you do that. Than they say, no it should have been Y. The same app has not over 3.000.0000 downloads on Android Market. So now you know how the app store of bada got so small.
abilove007, 02 Dec 2011wave has only advanced in hardware part, else it's software sucks. no apps are supported. in c... moreQuestion: How long has the android and iOS platform been in existence? How many bada phones have you used cos I am using the 1st wave and its a good phone. You need to know that all phones as far as I'm concern have their issue, so if this seems better than the platform you are rooting for suck it up and live with it.
