Samsung: TM Roh named Acting Head of the digital devices and appliances division

The head of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) business, TM Roh, will take on new duties as the Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) division. He takes over from Han Jong-hee, who passed away last week.

A few other executives are taking on new roles too. Won-joon Choi was named COO of the MX division and will continue to serve as the Head of R&D Office and Head of Global Operation Team of the MX division. Cheolgi Kim was named Head of the Digital Appliances business.

Additionally, Samsung Electronics appointed Mauro Porcini as President and Chief Design Officer. Porcini previously worked at Pepsi and 3M. “With the addition of Mr. Porcini, Samsung Electronics plans to further strengthen its design capabilities across all business areas, including mobile, TV and home appliances,” reads the press release that announced the new hire.
