Hiya, quick ques.
once bought a d800 and hated the fact that when u texted someone it wud store their name as 'recently texted' so when u sent a new text the name was easily accesible...good...but they cudnt be deleted.
Is this the same with the U600?
None of my previous phones, including a samsung D600 asked for pin numbers when sending things through bluetooth? I didn't get any viruses on those.
does any1 kno the internet and mms settings for cingular with useing this phone
i can set the alarm, wakeupcall, when in silent mode - AND IT GOES OFF!
That's the thing i said, the alarm goes off!
What firmware do you have?
You can find out by typing *#1234#
I have been on other forums and many other people can't get the phone to ring in silent mode. ( which is holding the # key down )
Tell me step by step how you did it, so i can check if i wen't through the right procedure. i have had every model Samsung from d500 d600 d900 and u600 and have never had a problem with this.
If there was a facility to take away 'enter pin' from any bluetooth phone, you would be inundated and potentially mess up your phone with viruses. It is there for a reason, and it doesn't take a second to type 0000 in.
i think k800 is the best 3 mega camera phones, and it's sonyericsson cybershot, its meant to be fast capture camera
is it touch pad and is the camera good quality like the sony ericsson k800

I have been in touch with Samsung here in uk (don't know about anywhere else) and they told me that although they do make in other colours they don't have a date as to when they will become available. Which is really annoying as i wanted phone in black or silver.
For pictures of other colours click on link below to see..
Got the phone two weeks ago. Never said that u can swap the touch-buttons (but asked if someone know a way to do this), just the keypad navigation buttons. Why the hell would i try to make remarks on questions if i even dont tries the phone out myself!?
Eitherway, i can set the alarm, wakeupcall, when in silent mode - AND IT GOES OFF!
That's the thing i said, the alarm goes off!
Q. loving the phone but anyone know how to set mp3's as a message alert tone please.
A. press menu > go to settings > sound settings > message tone > text message > tone( press the i button) > select music > then choose your mp3. Finished. You now have an mp3 as your msg tone.
I am now using U600 but so far i ve seen only Blue colour as Picture showing in this site.
as i am also seeling GSM mobile... i ve been using hips of other phones as well.. my last phone was Nokia N95 but it seems to be .. its too heavy/!! and BIG... and worst thing is that i dont like S60 Symbian because its very slow... sometime it make me crazy..! so i ve changed to U600 and it was great choice.. as Samsung U600 supporting Ringtone and Vibration same time and it has FM radio and its very slim and light and good design and it has New B & O 's Digital Amplier for better music quility..! i have compare with W880i and U600 was better.! and one more thing that they put New Battery saving technology which makes longer lasting battery time..!... and they re-positioned battery part to up so.. there is no battery hit.. after using long time.
I am about to buy the U600, does someone knows which website can I go to see the different colors available for this cell phone? Please can someone responde ASAP!!!
To:.. "the one who posted me info about 6-7 days usage due to Li-ion Polymer for X820.."
Is this test with the X820-battery lifetime on the u600 a "standby-test" or average use?
With average use i mean, standbytime, some talk, txt, music, games and so on..
Because with the original Li-ion battery that comes with the phone you can get up to 340h standby - about 14 days or so..
So if i change to Li-ion Polymer (the X820 battery) and only get about 6-7 days of standbytime , thats 6-7 days less..?!
Well.. thank you, whoever posted that info about li-ion vs li-ion polymer batteries!
So to summon it up, li-ion Polymer are more secure due to the flamable materiel?
Also.. some say that Li-ion Polymer batteries (like cellphone-batteries) comonly have a longer lifetime before recharging.. vs the li-ion that has shorter batterytime!
Is this true?!
Lithium-ion batteries (sometimes abbreviated Li-ion batteries) are a type of rechargeable battery commonly used in consumer electronics. They are currently one of the most popular types of battery for portable electronics, with one of the best energy-to-weight ratios, no memory effect and a slow loss of charge when not in use. They can be dangerous if mistreated, however, and unless care is taken their lifespan may be reduced. A more advanced lithium-ion battery design is the lithium polymer cell.
Lithium ion polymer batteries, or more commonly lithium polymer batteries (Abbreviated Li-Poly or LiPo) are rechargeable batteries which have technologically evolved from lithium ion batteries. Ultimately, the lithium salt electrolyte is not held in an organic solvent as in the lithium ion design, but in a solid polymer composite such as polyacrylonitrile. There are many advantages of this design over the classic lithium ion design, including the fact that the solid polymer electrolyte is not flammable (unlike the organic solvent that the Li-Ion cell uses).
