i can understand the dislikes of haveing to get out of speakerphone before you will be able to end a call by sliding the phone shut!
but i cant understand the problem, you wrote, that you cant "end a call by sliding the phone when in connection with Bluetooth earpiece" ?
Isnt the thoght, by using BT hearpiece, that you wont have to have the phone slided open? In fact - most of the times youre using your hearpiece - you dont even have the phone nearby?
Isnt it much easier just to end the call by pressing the little button on hearpiece?
to disadvantage for U600(haha that sounds weird) or anybody
dude i'm seriously thinkin buyin this phone, i read a lot of comments here and there but for the first time, i heard that it cant launch over 2MB jpg photo and can't play over 2MB mp4 movie. what it cant open over 2mb is the display picture or video for incoming calls, right? not the regular pictures or videos
Hiya , do anyone know how to change the touch sensitive buttons???? Or is this even possible?? PLEASE e-mail me if you know..Thanks!!
I use Samsung few years la, it's my opinion after use U600(compare I use D900 before)
A) Too sensitive at offline & mis-phone out;
B) Can't use mp4 format be incoming display;
C) Can't launch over 2MB jpg photo;
D) Can't play over 2MB mp4 movie;
E) Use 3gp for incoming display, too short;
F) Music player can't see song name;
G) Music player is not user friendly;
H) Battery life is too short
B) Lighter weight
(If U use D900, dont change)
(I use S100, D500, D600, D900 before)
I have the U600. Theres a couple of things that I want to ask if anyone else has noticed: (1) wobbly slide part - makes it too delicate to hold (2) when ending a call (by sliding down) & whilst in loud speaker mode, the call does not end even after pressing the end call button. I found that I have to get out of loud speaker mode to end the call. (3) this also happens when attached to Bluetooth earpiece, I can only end the call by pressing button on earpiece. The phone looks great, has great menu etc etc, but seriously thinking of sending back to O2 & getting the E900 instead. Your comments please!
Is there a WAKE UP CALL or the MORNING CALL ALARM in the u600? if so how do you activate it? I can only create new alarms.
Laura what nokia phone you getting i have been looking at this u600 to and the nokia e65 as this is a slim phone to and i can not make my mind up which to go for as i am not bothered about the cameras in the phones as i dont use them let me know if you have tried the e65 and let me know what you think
with regards to ALARM ISSUE, I believe that if you choose the WAKE UP CALL or the MORNING CALL ALARM, then the alarm will sound even if the phone is on silent mode. But if you choose ALARM 1 or ALARM 2, then the alarm sound will stay muted during silent mode.
I have been so disappointed with this phone. Firstly, the design is useless. The touch-sensitive buttons, despite not being overly sensitive, are so close to the navigating circle that you either find yourself in a random menu or at the start screen. Secondly, the number buttons feel like if you press too hard (which you need to!) the phone will snap. They are far too flat and only go in a tiny fraction. Also, there is a large wedge at the bottom of the keypad which means if you have big, or even normal, size fingers you'll struggle.
With regards to the software, it's OK. It's got a bizarre sub-menu system which is difficult to explain and even more difficult to get used to.
The WAP button is also in a really stupid place, I accessed WAP unintentionally countless times today, and may end up costing some people a fortune.
The advantages of this phone are the camera quality and the screen quality. For those looking for a built in MP3 player, it's also useful.
In response to an earlier review, you Can set this phone to "Melody and Vibrate" - one thing Samsung has actually solved.
I had this phone for 6 hours, and it's going straight back to O2 and I'm getting myself a Nokia with real buttons!
No, the u600 charger is not compatible with the d500 charger, you need a smaller one similar to the one of the d900.
---Need help, please...---
does anyone know if the "charging input" is the same on u600 as on other samsungphones?
need to know if i can use my samsungcharger from d500 to the u600!!
I don't know if your mobile is different from mine, but I have a U600 and the alarm definitely does NOT off when it is on silent.

You anoying little boy.
Didn't you think i tried it out? Both the suportperson on the other line (and me myself) got the alarm to sound off when the phone was in silent mode!
I did not say that i was "informed...."
I said that he tested it, and was able to get the alarm to start beeping!
Probably you're the only one that failes!
Ok, i just got this phone and man DO I LOVE IT. I'm a big samsung phone, and i think this is the best phone they came out with. I do have a complaint though, the touch buttons can be soooooooooo annoying. The camera is outstanding although it does take about 7 seconds to take the pic. And YES IT HAS A FM RADIO!!! The messaging style is different though from all the other samsungs i've ever had but you just have to get used to it. The phone is just awesome. If you are thinkin about this phone, dont think any longer. Its the way to go!!
ps can anyone tell me how to setup my email account to this phone. I have yahoo mail and i'm on the TMOBILE network in the US
