You have failed to take care of it. You cant use it as nokias brick phones. You should think before buying this phone that what type of phone you actually need. Its your mistake. SO dont blame your phone.
i got the U600.
is it possible to play the music player while doing some task (i.e. reading msg, browsing files..etc.. like the nokia does?
it's really annoying that every time i play the music player and a message pop up,the music player stops when i go to the msg folder.
I have had this phone for about 7 months and it has broken twice! The first time, I dropped it onto carpetted floor and the LCD screen cracked from the inside, giving me half a blank screen and the rest grainy, unable to use. I got that fixed, after being told that my warrenty didn't cover the damage due to it being a 'very sensitive phone, that even a knock in a pocket or bag could damage.' How ridiculous is that!? Am I supposed to carry it round in bubble wrap? Anyway, recently, just from being in my purse, it has broken again. It's not a good phone - damages very easily, the camera is extremely slow, the video quality isn't that good and using the predictive text too fast can cause it to crash and freeze! It's very sexy, but if you want to actually use it as a phone and not just as an ornament to show off with, i would recommend you buy a more durable phone, as there are many out there!
just got one from my mom...
i wanted a PINK one, but i ended up with WHITE...i love it still...
i just cant understand why the video captured if zoomed in is not as clear as the picture captured???
is it really like that???or is there something wrong with my unit??
thank you, i hope my query is gonna be answered asap...
hapi new year to all
can anyone tell me if the keypad on this phone is ok to use?? it looks like a touch-sensitive one, is that right??
There are currently much better choices than this phone, I would suggest the new LG Shine or the Shadow, they are superior phones in most respects, are faster easier to use and more capable of doing ordinary tasks well. I did not mention in my review of the U600 how horrible the reception is. It is bad. I compared the reception with a Motorola L6, V3i, Krzr K1, Nokia 8801 and an older clamshell Samsung phone. The u600 has the worst reception of the group with the Nokia 8801 not far behind. The Motorola phones had much better signal range throughout. Sad but true.
can you zoom the saved image captured by cam?
my nokia 6280 can do this..dont know with U600. am planning to buy one..is this a good choice?
hi there! is there any way i can set my phone to vibrate and ring when I receive text messages? also how can I adjust the volume of my message alert tone? thanks!
I think the samsung u600 is a great phone! i love it, but.. the time it takes to take a picture! When i ring people and others ring me i can not hear what is being said it is like my phone is permanatly on mute. Whether or not i am doing something wrong or not i do not know? any ideas on what could have happened because i'm pretty sure its nothing ive done. The phone overall though is very good, i just need to sort out that call problem.
I have tried really hard to like this phone, but it just has too many shortcomings to be touted as "great". First off, the phone is really slim and sexy, definitely not a phone you will typically see in the US, however they are used in large numbers on Europe. The features that this phone boasts are nothing to laugh at. But the dynamics of the phone make using the features cumbersome at best. Let's start off with the durability of the phone itself. At first my phone felt very solid and the slide mechanism was rock solid, however in a matter of a few months I notice there is much more lateral play now and the fit and finish is starting to show signs of compromise. The screen cover cracks easily and mars and scratches very easily, too easily. I am not impressed. The camera due to it's automatic focus which you cannot turn off, makes the phone lag severely when taking a shot. Leaving it impossible to take a clear shot of anything moving at all. Due to the lack of xenon flash, this phone is useless taking pics with at night. As others have mentioned, reading anything from the memory card takes forever, especially videos. I cannot comprehend why they would even make a phone that operates so slowly. You can limit this to a degree by grouping videos into smaller categories, however I cannot think of another phone I have ever used with similar lag when reading from the memory card. Watching videos and listening to music that is stored on the phone is acceptable, however you are limited to less than 60mb, how much can you really do with that anyway? The menu, while very intuitive, requires a lot of playing with before you can figure out how to use the features embedded in the phone. For example, you cannot send bluetooth files from the phone without first selecting the files you would like the phone to permit to send. I find this process makes no sense and seems needless. Talking more about the bluetooth, this phone has a horrible bluetooth configuration in which you must constantly connect with the headset in a long process of unlocking the screen, selecting and accepting the bond to the headset. I don't understand why I have to press five different buttons and complete three operations just to use my headset. It becomes even more of a stale mate when a call is coming in and your bluetooth function has already ended. It makes absolutely no sense and is the most bizarre function of this phone. Text messaging on this phone can be a pain, but you will get used to it, I have seen worse. The flashlight and the business card recognition feature on this phone are actually pretty cool, but not needed. The battery life on this phone is just terrible. Terrible to the point where you have to be aware of the battery meter the entire time that you are using the multimedia features, which is a pain in the ass. I will say the screen is very sharp and clear and bright, however I have a multitude of visible dead pixels on my phone already. And I will say this phone supports numerous formats for music and video, which makes it easy to find compatible material to store. The four touch sensitive buttons did not play any role in my review of the phone as I found the functional and fairly easy to adjust to.
since it can play mp3 as message tone..the question is..can it finish playing the selected mp3 message alert tone if the phone has not been touched/used?
The front buttons are touch sensitive, but the rest are manual.
I've got it and think my phone is bad because all animation are moving slow and java games are moving slowely, what is it ? does all phones are like that ? sorry for my english :)
