hey people. i've got this phone for about now and it's not bad. however, i cant seem to record videos for more den 13 sec. is this the same case for all the phone or is my phone spoil? serious help need.
To the person below
...not to be rude, but no, you can't. The 00 calling code IS uniform across *europe*, but it is not accross everywhere else (even Australia still uses "0011" if you're dialling another country).
Does no one have a solution for this?? This seems like a really elementary thing.
if it's for country codes (such as +46 for sweden) you can just as easily replace the +sign with double zero like so: 0046
Guys, I am desperate.
I have a brand new U700.
I need to be able to put the " + " sign at the start of 70+ percent of the numbers I'm entering into the phone book and I can't for the life of me find a way to make the phone book do it.
The manual is worse than useless.
Can anyone help? Please??
Stay away from this phone.Vodafone have ruined it.they have taken away the best bits.vivid text etc..I have had this phone 2 months and i now looks over a year old. the buttons stick the slider wobbles it switches off on its own. it sent 44 texts whilst on lock in my pocket. And it froze completely yesterday for no reason. Its horrendous. Also Vodafone were very unhelpful.I willbe off too 3....
haha sorry i take that back. U600 has an equally impressive 3.15MP camera. U700 has 3G though =)
for me personally i think U700 is better than U600. U700 may cost more but that's because it has better and more functions such as a 3.2MP camera which is awesome! Quality wise, i don't think the U600 was built as solidly as the slide cover seems quite flimsy compared to the U700.
U700 definitely looks more classy and sexy too with nicer curves =)
can anyone tell me if they experience problems with the sound quality of the phone, i find the speaker is just so soft and the quality is not that good, any way of working around this?
U are not a liar. Depending where on the globe you are situated, the fone has been released.
U are a noob, do not call others liars when u havent got your facts straight.
Wrong! The U700 can use mp3's as RINGTONES!!!!!
please do not be fooled by ppl who tell you that it is not possible. Samsung has made much progress in this area of the OS.
To Set MP3 as RINGTONE:
Menu -> Settings -> Phone Profiles -> Scroll to Profile (eg. Normal) -> Options -> Edit -> Ensure you are at the Incoming Call Menu (Handset+Speaker Icon) ->Voice Call Ringtone -> Options -> Change -> Go to where ur desired MP3 is (Remember to Scroll RIGHT if u want your Memory Card) -> Options -> Select -> Options again -> Save!!!.
U guys can work out the SMS one ;)
Thankyou and Toodles. Feel free to Post questions but i may not reply due to my other committments but i will try my best to check back.
samsung moiles don't allow for message alert ringtones to be mp3......you can only use the allocated tones built in the phone which are polyphonic...unfortunately samsung hav not yet generated that feature mp3 message alert tone
u r a complete liar. this phone hasnt been out for 3months yet.
does anybody know where i can find special characters like ñ and Ü in u700?!?
can anyone tell me how can i change my message alert..? because I want to use my mp3 music as my alert tone
yup, already available in the phil.
try it at robinson's place ermita
Thanks Chloe... 4 making apostrophes existent now!! =)
to change sms ringtone u go to a particular profile and "edit" then press the "right" button to alter message settings.
to type special characters in an sms, u keep pressing that particular key in alphabet setting and the last few characters are the "special ones"... like Ü by pressing the "tuv/8" button 4 times etc.
I've had this phone for 3 months and really wish I had returned it within the first 2 weeks.
It looks great and has all the features I wanted but...
The silver chrome effect started pealing off after a month.
The touch sensitive buttons are too sensitive, if I'm scrolling left through a text it regularly starts deleting text as my thumb hovers over the clear button. It also regularly backs out of the message so I loose the whole thing. Numerous times I've been talking to someone and it's gone onto to loud speaker because it’s too close to my face.
To unlock lock the phone you only need to press the centre button twice so it frequently unlocks it self in my pocket and bag and has been known to take a blank picture and send it 9 times, call people and dial up vodafone live with out my knowledge.
I could go on, but it's too depressing. And worse because it’s a contract phone I won't be able to upgrade for another 15 months.
Oh and I can hardly hear people, even with the volume maxed out.
This phone looks great while sat on my desk but is the most infuriating phone I've ever owned.
