for me, this phone is great! i just had it for 2 weeks yet i know so much about the basics of the phone since i love exploring. so far, i'm loving every bit of it. the volume is fine, as opposed to what other people say. and it has no defects. i charge the battery everyday though because i always use the music player. if i'll just do normal use, i think it would last up to 2 days. :)
i think it depends on the unit you got. maybe some people got it from unreliable stores or something that's why it has some defects. i got if from a professional seller and so far, i don't have any problem with my phone. :)

Okay with a bit of searching, try wikipedia even, its easy to set the earpiece volume up loud enough, (test code number you enter) just dont try change other codes who knows what you might do!

omz, 10 Dec 2008Just bought the u900 recently and love the phone and all of the features on it but the speaker... moretry to increase the volume and see... i am planning on getting a U900.. i guess, the volume settings might help.

can anyone teach me on how to use the camera because whenever i took picture the phone automatically shut down this happen every time i took photos and when i push the shutter for the camera the flash is the only one working i cannot capture images but when i push hard it can capture the image but it automatically shut down can anyone please teach me on how to use the camera thank u

I have the Samsung U900, great phone but the battery life is not so hot, Other than that a awesome phone the battery life is what I find a draw back.
I'm stating this from South Africa

Had mine about a week- MAIN problem is the impossibly low earpiece volume, followed by terrible battery life, one day of just calls (no pictures, music of internet) and its dead, and not great sunlight legibility. But the camera is very good, loving the touchpad and interfaces. Going to have to live with it now I guess. All I wanted was a G400 Soul to replace my beloved Z-540 but this model not available in South Africa :(

any one bought the soul recently? is the call volume still very low? is there any solution to it? planning to get one soon, but worried about the low call volume. any opinions wil be appreciated. thx!!

wat is the limit of message tat can be stored in the phone?
why it say tat 'memory full' when i just saved about 400 messages in my u900?
then can my message saved in the memory card?

Just bought the u900 recently and love the phone and all of the features on it but the speaker of the phone is real soft esp. when speaking to some else. Is it just my phone or are most of them like that?

Touchpad is excellent. You can set its level of sensitivity (i leave it on 2 which is the middle) but seriously, if you're going to flick or skim the pad each time u u use it, then DON'T buy it, but if you're normal, and you actually tap the little pad, it will work wonders for you :)

The touch screen's response can be changed to respond to your touch whether your quick or not so its kind of the same. yes it does have animatin but my phone is pretty quick
