hi guys, i m planning to buy vibrant from US and use it india. can i unlock this phone and use it in india??? n if i unlock this phone can i update it to 2.2 froyo and use all the apps??? pls reply.. i m in a big dilemma..

Best phone EVER. And I've owned many, from iPhones to BB passing by Nokia and Motorola. All crap when put against this device, both hardware and software are amazing if only Samsung's support was better yet still great phone and the custom ROMs are always there.
Oh and gsmarena; you should list that this phone comes with eclair yet upgradeable to Froyo. Hell, the new ones already have that pre-installed.

Go to the market and down load the gps repair app from samsung. It fixed my gps problems. Good luck.

Is there any reason that not only samsung vibrant but also max 4 inch samsung high class phone has no led flash though having 5 mp camera???

I was about to get rid of this phone because of poor battery performance but then I heard about Foryo 2.2. I've started loving my phone since I've upgraded it's firmware to Foryo.
No more battery problem now and phone responds really really fast.. apart from GPS, well I'm sure that's hardware problem.
