Only worth it if you're gonna root and put a custom rom. Battery significantly improves afters custom rom and so does speed. Can even be over clocked.
I am using samsung wave S8500 and not having good battery backup only 1&half day. Can u recommend me some tips.
Anonymous, 10 Dec 2010you sound dumb. what does flash player allow you to do besides watch videos online - nothing. ... moreThere are many other things apart from watching videos on flash. There are tons of application written on flash UI which can work if flash is supported.

Battery time is indeed very poor. Tends to hang/act sluggish if many applications are installed.
Extended fat battery available on eBay is recommended, but it will make your phone thicker.
i have this phone ..... for now officially i think it's still eclair 2.1 using kies mini (not regular kies)
but there are plenty of 2.2 froyo customized or stock froyo roms available ..... just head over to xda.com
Hi to all...
Have simple question, i have Samsung Galaxy S, two days ago upgrade it to Froyo 2.2.1 via odin program.
My fried bought Vibran. How do you thik can he upgrade to 2.2.1 too?
pille64, 07 Dec 2010without flash, bad, bad, badyou sound dumb. what does flash player allow you to do besides watch videos online - nothing. opera mobile offers flash player automatically.
HTC DESIRE HD is much better than galaxy I9000 OR VIBRANT.I have used Galaxy I9000.The basic problem of galaxy is GPS and MAPS.GPS and MAPS are not working in Galaxy S.its firmware problem.Didn't show ur location.Battery timings too low.Other problem is that u can't receive any update from firmware over the air.u need to attach ur device from computer with the help of mini kies and its painful activity but can update ur phone on 2.2 Froyo.MMS not activated in this device, u can use only one service, wap or mms.but graphics r too good i agree. Now i purchased new HTC DESIRE HD.its excellent mobile.there is no issue of GPS a lots of features than iphone, galaxy and xperia, bodywise excellent, battery timings too good.If u r planning to buy expensive mobile.then i will suggest that u just buy HTC DESIRE HD not HTC DESRIRE HD 7 window mobile,IPHONE,XPERIA or Galaxy.Bcz HTC Desire HD 7 is just a window mobile.battery is too weak just working 10 hours.Anroid is the future and remeber window mobile is not the future.
The Desire HD, the chassis is made of aluminium and sports four virtual navigation keys instead of the HD7’s three. There’s also no kickstand present, but this shouldn’t really bother too many users. The Desire HD uses a Super LCD display and the HD7 uses an LCD one. Super LCD is a lot better than normal LCD. Why? Simple: Super LCD has about five times better power management than earlier versions of the technology and has vastly improved viewing angles, meaning there’s less colour degradation when you view the screen from anything but straight on. Couple this with the fact that there’s less colour saturation on Super LCD than AMOLED and you’re on to a winner. U can receive any update from firmware over the air on HTC DESIRE HD.so i will suggest u should get this device..
y the vibrant and SGSI9000 differ in their price?
It can be upgraded to Android 2.2 through samsung Kies software availble on the website.
as of now you can run froyo on it and it's pretty smooth .... but not officially i think. you'll need to be "rooted" and flash it using clockwork mod recovery or Odin
i think it anosome

Talking about crap :))
check out this link http://www.mobile-review.com/articles/2010/n8-brak-en.shtml
If you want your phone to die unexpectedly and you like visiting service centers - buy Nokia N8.
Nokia used to make good reliable phones. Not a case anymore. What a shame that Nokia has such crappy Qality control. They also are lagging at least a year in terms of user interface. No more Nokia for me (my last phone was Nokia).
BTW, I'm pretty happy with Galaxy S.
is this phone can be upgrade to android version 2.2 and 2.3?please answer?i want to buy this phone
without flash,bad,bad,bad
It has triangulation model of locating.... not live navigator.
I came here from the Nokia forums of gsmarena and I would like you guys to consider buying the Nokia N8 instead of this crap with terrible lag and gps issues. If you guys have any doubts about the Galaxy S please take your time and get to know the wonderful phone that is the N8. IMO, it is way better than this Vibrant and it doesn't have gps issues or lags. Best of all, it's running symbian 3 which is better than android.
