I've been using this phone for sometime and am just loving it most especially it's browsing speed and wat I term it as super authentic camera but my RAM is just 304Mb and it worries me too much especially when I want to play games. Please can anyone give me a solution.

I bought the... moreYeah, I had one a few months ago but I sold it. my whole family have S3's and Note, but I enhanced the powerof that phone with cyanogen, and my cellphone could compete against those cellphones :D

Hi,
Can anybody advise me how to take the full data backup(Contacts, text messages, pics & videos etc.) and load the same in other phone.I have to switch to another android device and want to know how to transfer entire date from vibrant to other device.

I'm still getting good service from my Vibrant's considering their age and price. I bought them used $200 several yrs. ago. I'm running CM 10.1.1 (4.2.2)vibrantmtd stable with a "BetterKat" dark theme and gapps-jb-2013812. This combo all works flawlessly.
I'm contemplating switching to a used GS-3 as I could use the added RAM. I'm vision impaired and use "talk back" with HQ TTV. All the new bloated apps are getting a tad sluggish on the ole' Vib workhorse with the accessibility running in the background. But I'll keep it around for my spare. It was a great purchase!
In order for you folks to upgrade your firmware you're going to have do some studying and root your phone, then flash it with the custom ROM of your choice. I'd recommend the CyanogenMod ROMS.
A good resource to start woodshedding with would be
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028. There is a Vibrant bible on that site also. Say heck no, to the con$umer product treadmill and surveillance bloatware. Peace!

why did Samsung stop making this phone the so called up grade sucks because I know some one who up grade from this phone they are not happy with the up grade so they up grade from the up grade same thing they were not happy as they were with frist Samsung Vibrant Galaxy for 2/3/and the 4 cant conparable

One of the best smartphones out there. I haven't upgraded to the new galaxy simply because this one delivers everything you would want. The screen is amazing, too! I've had it for over 2 years now, and it's been great.
