My friend gave me this phone since I needed a new one. Its great! I recommend that you root it and flash a custom ROM on it to make it even more worthwhile.

I Just had my galaxy s unlocked to read local sim cards but it restarts itself frequently.i tried re-flushing it and also upgrading its software but all in vain. I live in uganda. any help will be highly appreciated

The specs on this phone are so similar to the Sidekick 4G. I am thinking of using parts of the Cyanogen 6.2 rom of this phone to create a custom Froyo rom for the Sidekick over at xda. It will be my first attempt...crossing my fingers.

sethoo , 22 Apr 2012how do upgrade to android 2.3? please someone help meI'm running 4.1.2 on SGH-T959 the difference is amazing. In order to do this, you will need to root your phone using heimdall and clockworkmod and install a ROM like Cyanogenmod 10. Best of luck!

um the vibrant and i9000 are not the same they are two different models

They are different. The 1st version do not have front camera, only the second does which few people have. It also do not have physical home button, but capacitive buttons. It is locked to T-Mobile while the i9000 is unlocked and only work with ATT 3G, but not T-Mo 3G.
