I just advise to go to ExtraTorrent, download it as an Xvid film and you will be able to view it on the phone without converting. Otherwise get Any Video Converter and convert the film to MP4 or AVI, both work fine on the phone :)

I'm not sure if a hard reset(you'll format for sure) makes the phone go back to Vodafone Sim Lock. About the reset, what do youu want to remove? youu have an option on Settings, at the Apps menu, to Get all settings back to default.
But what exactly you want to erase from the phone.

Have been trying to get movies on this phone for ages, anymore info on how i go about this am a total novice..have always had nokia, but this phone is a lot better sent my n97 back total piece of crap
David and anonymous (I assume your the same person??) I really dont agree this phone is as bad you make it out to be! The Satio is now way near as good as this phone (you only have to see the problems it has). Also other touchscreen phones such as the Storm2, HD2 and N97 have had their fair share of far worse problems than the H1. The only main problem for this phone is email synching and Internet crashing. Any other problems are far less and odd cases.
Yesterday I downloaded films onto this phone and was astonished at the quality! The touchscreen is very nice, the screem quality is beautiful.
All I say is this is a really good phone, irrespective of any problems it may have.

input *2767*3855# in the dialer. You will loose all the info and settings. It has helped a lot of ppl, hope to help you. My problems are with sync contacts , the normal ones with 360º, its duplicating in existent empty groups... 360º service it sucks for now, i am glad that im not using it a lot or email sync. other functions its great!
Does anyone know how to fully format this phone i am sending it back tomorrow i am so angry im nearly in tears this is the worst phone i have ever had a bit worse than the satio.
This phone is a piece of crap so many problems with it it keeps deleting my contacts dont buy it.

Petko, 07 Jan 2010Hello. Please tell me you can now use navigation to this model? - Route66, Garmin, Igo8 .... M... moreHi Petko,
The phone comes inbuilt with Maps and within the maps you can use SatNav. The SatNav is A-GPS and Vodafone charge for using the SatNav. You cannot use Maps unless you are a Vodafone customer as you need to be logged onto the Vodafone 360 service. So basically unless a 3rd party SatNav app comes out, you really need Vodafone.
The phone has many plus points. The negative points at the moment are the email problems (the email rely's on the Vodafone 360 service again) and there are synching problems. Other than that the internet crashes now and then, although it is a very good broswer overall. I cannot really think of any other negatives as this phone is brilliant overall.
Hello. Please tell me you can now use navigation to this model? - Route66, Garmin, Igo8 .... Many want to buy this phone. It's incredible. I love Samsung .... I have the i8510 INNOV8 and I am very pleased with it. Please if you know some other bad qualities of the phone are not written in the forum, let them write. Regards
Gama, 06 Jan 2010I have this phone, and i never but never used the email, social networks hi5 facebook...And fo... moreHi Gama, whilst you raise some interesting points there I must point out that a lot of people will wanna use the phone to most of its potential. The whole idea of having such a phone is to make use of its resources. For starters, the 360 Apps cause very little hassle as they have been checked by Vodafone. They may not all work perfectly but they do their job. Email may not appeal to everyone, but if you have such a function you wanna use it. Maps is a great function for location purposes and no doubt Google Maps will be introduced in due time, which will be available to download from the Vodafone 360 site. You can download from Google as well now but its a weak version and not properly compatible for the phone.
If your not bothered about Apps, Email, Maps (only the inbuilt one on the phone) then you can still enjoy the phone very much. But to maximise full use of the phone, you do really need the 360 Service.
I have this phone, and i never but never used the email, social networks hi5 facebook...And for what i see i getting rid of a lot a headache since it has bugs in the sync, i have wi-fi at home, and friends houses, i am not email fan,i dont see the need to receive or see an email at car, trip,shoping...if i want that i turn on internet, go to the site on my phone and evoilá! i dont use the sync accounts, i still dont understand the needs for that. I use wi-fi or a isolated use of internet. To use it at full...just use at office,home...And social network the same. Only use at home or if i need to see something , turn on internet. why bother with sync problems and bugs through the 360 apps on phone etc...?
See although the iPhone lacks some features, it more than makes up by being one of the best phones out the market due to its interface, innovation and Apps. I have the H1 and it is a superb phone no doubt. However in order to make full use out of the phone you need to be on the Vodafone network. Without the 360 service your Maps and email will not work. Also you can currently only download Apps from the Vodafone 360 site, which is a great shame as Linux is an open source and this phone has the same amount of potential for Apps as the iPhone. So the phone's restrictions are letting down a potential beast.
The phone has bugs like the email synching problems (mine is fine) and the internet crashing (this is hopefully due to be sorted). However I would recommend this phone but only if your on the Vodafone network. Otherwise no Apps, Maps, Email.
Matt, 01 Jan 2010Thanks for the info! So do you reccomend me to get this phone or the HTC Hero? CheersWell,
Between this h1 and HTC...go for the HTC HD2, with 4' screen etc etc...Its full loaded of high tech, that one , for me is the only one i would switch mine for. Many Iphone users, friends of mine, say that mine is cooler than iphone, and i did a great buy, and some Mags say that too, even that 360º is giving problems, Iphone hasn't inovated on design since its release and software is not open as linux.
