hello i am looking to buy this phone it looks cool to me from the pictures of this mobile phone can some bodywho has got it tell me its features so i can buy this phone please tell me email me on my hotmail id
Hi, can I use MP3 for ringtone, and what you think about that the battery is going only for 2, max.3 days
Can we use X700 as a modem through a USB cable to a computer? Anyone can help? Thanks.
This phone has a stereo speaker. FM radio requires a headset. And yes you can download mp3 ringtones, polyphonic ringtones, etc using GPRS as long as the vendor supports your phone.
Samsung Fun Club supports this phone now but the ringtones there are crappy!
I prefer to use my own mp3 files and edit them into shorter snippets as ringtones.
Its quite easy to do that. Just go into the phone settings and choose USB setting. Then choose Mass Storage. Connect it to your laptop/PC using the PC link cable/bluetooth.
previously i owned a E730 and i just got this phone & it suits my style...good quality screen..i luv it

Thanks for the info, but how exactly do you do what you have mentioned. What i do is take the t-flash out the phone and use it with a card reader.
you can easily send mp3 files to your memory card by setting the phone as a mass storage device. Your phone will become a flash drive. Just drop all your mp3 files into the correct folder, which is "Music".
I am sad to hear about this...I don't understand why Samsung had to leave out EDGE for our region.
I guess I'll just have to get a new phone with 3G then hehehehe..maybe in a few months time
When transferring mp3's to the phone is there a way to transfer it to the t-flash card instead of the phone?
I have sent mp3 files to Motorola v360 and also send a small snippet of video in mp4 format to my brother's K750i before. So the answer is yes!
sad to tell u this.. i call up fmg, informed them.. malaysian version no EDGE support.
yea.. the online manual did mention "E" icon indicating EDGE mode... but nope.. mine only show "G".
Can we send the pictures and videos from x700 to the other cell phones using bluetooth? please tell me soon i want to buy this mobile.
Yes, you can play both mp3 and mp4 files straight from the memory. If you have read my previous posting, I also mentioned that mp3 files with bitrates higher than 160 will not play from the card. You will need to move them over to the phone memory.
You can play mp3 files from both the phone memory or the memory card.
I have not encountered any problem with bluetooth connections. My fren's phone can detect my presence pretty fast using Bluetooth.
As for the screen quality, it is very very nice. Even my fren who uses a SE750i thinks x700's screen is better. Its bright and it gives very good details of photos that I have. So I think Curious could be looking at a faulty unit. My screen is not dull and yellowish at all.
I do admit that the recording function is not good. Picture taking is much better.
I HAVE A REALLY IMPORTANT QUESTION... can anybody answer that is it possible to copy mpeg4 ang images in the memory card (not phones memory) & does the phone have access to them or not?
i ve heard that the phone can only play mp3s from the memory card! is it right????????
i like tis phone..it suits my style. hows the screen and bluetooth? can it be detected easily?
you mentioned the screen is very nice.. yet I have tested 1 and found it to be yellowish and dull.. comparing it with E530, the screen is inferior.. even the video recording is worse than E530.
Maybe I saw a faulty unit?
I'm not sure if it supports 512mb because I only have a 256mb. The manual did not mention anything about this.
I have not tried EDGE because I don't have a digi line. Anyway, my friend has a digi line and he has tried it in my area before using a Nokia phone but the connection was worse than my 56k dialup. My area is known to have very bad reception.
Its quite strange now that you mentioned it. The foreign manual that I downloaded mentioned EDGE but the manual I have does did not mention anything about the EDGE at all. The net version of the manual mentioned the presence of an E icon on the screen if you have an EDGE connection. But this is not mentioned at all in the local manual.
I asked the sales guy about the EDGE feature and he told me its there. Did you see an E icon on-screen when you got connected? If you don't see it, then Samsung will need to explain why!!!
