Leave the phone to recharge a bit longer. Don't unplug it when it says it's done, leave it about 1h more. I've noticed mine lasts about 2x more. I had a sony ericsson that had the same behaviour.
For that dude who was impressed with the phone, and says that this phone is the slimmest he has ever seen:
Obviously it's the slimmest phone you've seen because it's the slimmest phone in the world at the moment, 7mm
how do i install java games and applications on this phone?? thanks!! btw, i love the phone, just got it yesterday, very slim and very elegant.
I just bought this phone for $220 from a seller on eBay and it is a fantastic phone! The amount of internal memory is fine with me, I don't need my phone to replace my iPod, I just want it to be portable and make phone calls, and it doesn't get much more portable than this. This phone is shockingly thin when you actually hold it in your hand for the first time.
My only complaint about this phone is that it is Tri-band. I live in the USA and have Cingular service, where many urban areas still use the 850Ghz frequency. This is changing as Cingular (and others) roll out their new 3G networks, but it can be a problem in some areas. Generally though this pone gets excellent reception (I live in Seattle) and even when the reception shows 3 bars or lower I've never had a dropped call or reception problems during a call so far.
hi all l just got the samsung x820 love its lots just on thing not sure if l can or if anyone can help me l got it as a upgrared from orange just trying too see how l can get the phone back to samsungs setting for it instead off the boring wallpaer and setting they put on it so if anyone knows have too do please let me know
Just purchased this and generally impressed. However when I go to send a text message it keeps asking me to input an email address (max 50 letters) before I can start the text message and the email address is the opening line when the message is received by others. Surely this is unnecessary but I can find a way to switch this off, any ideas?
I'm a nokia fan and from the very sight of it I knew I had to have it. The features are off the chain. The only down side to it is that it doesnt have expandable memory. I love it though. That's my new personal favourite.
Ths fone is amazing, it is seriously the thinest phone ive ever seen in my life.
Hi- I have been using this phone for 6 months now and i see the below advantages and disadvantages:
- Very sleek and slim
- Very clear reception on phone
- Good Memory of phone numbers and messages
- Very light weight
- It catches everyones eyes
- Excellent video quality. I taped 30 mins continuous video
- Can play back all videos on Television through the cable provided
- Excellent picture quality for photos
- Display is black and beautiful
- USB facility to upload photos direct from phone into computer...unparalleled
- Message tones are unique
- Two batteries provided
- Battery life maximum one day for normal usage
- Appointments/alarms too complicated to use
- Ring tones not interesting, but you can take from other phones via blue tooth
- Speaker phone not very clear . its always crackled.
- to see display during day time you have to stress your eyes...as the letters are very small and tough to read during day time
Of course no phone is perfect in all ways. you have to lose some features to gain some.
But they definitely tried to make it a good phone but somehow it did not catch up everyones interest and prices are falling every day. its a pity.
Good luck for you if you wish to buy, as i am sure you wont regret.
This Samsung X820 always displays recent recipients list while sending sms. This gives chance for wrong sending. How do we erase the recent recipents list ?
im a moto l7e user and it has a card slot. =this fone is so fancy.... :) peace
Hi all i need an information regarding this mob , so holder is requested to pls pls let me know that is this samsungx820 mob can mak a video ???? if yes than it makes continous video or make video clips ????
I hav red evryones comments bt only one thing of this mob is its size thinnest evr mob in the world n i think its a very solid reason to buy it .......
Got this phone today and love it. Few queries.
1. Do I have to select T9 every time I begin to text? Can it be remembered by the phone, as in Nokia?
2. I got a Jabra BT135 along with it. But I'm only able to use it as a handsfree...doesn't play music. Any idea why?
3. Is there a simple equivalent of 'reminders' (like in Nokia)? Appointment and Anniversary are too complicated to use in place of simple reminders.
hi. im curretly using the x820 now. i just want to know if there are any downloadable skins for this? mine only has black and white, I would like to know if we can hve red or something that would be really cool . ;)
pls let me knoe thnx
Using this phone for about 2 months now. Switched from the lg chocolate. Only drawback i see in this phone, is that everytime i send an sms, i have to manually select the T9, apart from that, its a breeze to use, super light and sleek.
well no worries no help from any of you guys;). i wanted to know if i should get the silver or the black samsung x820. now i have got one...its silver and it just looks stunning!!!!!!! this is my first samsung phone(nokia all the way) but have to say i am impressed with this company....they do come out with great products. This phone is sheer engineering excellence. i have worked as an mobile antenna designer for a year and its bloody hard to fit all these into a phone. So if anyone wants to complain about what this phone doesnt have....try thinking what they have fit into it....its hell of a lot for this tiny size. When you buy it you are owner of an exclusive phone thats thinnest in the world. you cant get better than that atleast for now. Bravo to samsung! If you care about the too many extra features you can get any normal phones and its just easy to fit stuff in there such as ringtone and high spec cameras.
I have had this phone for the last 4 months. As we all know, no phone is absolutely perfect, sure there is no memory slot and the battery life is horrendous.
But it is a great conversational piece. Maybe that's not the most important thing to the majority, but if you can only slam a phone for battery life and memory, I'll take my chances.
The picture quality is not the greatest, but then again, if you're expecting a phone to have a camera on it equal to the quality of a $300 digital camera, that's your problem.
I am surprised by how well built the phone is. Already it has been dropped several times on the floor with no noticeable effects. The ringer and speaker phone is loud enough. The vibration is shaky enough.
** For the person questioning email/postal/office/fax storage, you can do that with this phone. **
Again, all watches are functionally the same, but people choose different ones for fashion reasons. Why should your phone be different? Sure the battery life is good for 2-3 days on minimal use (1-1.5 with excessive use), but what other phone fits into your shirt pocket?
Sam,r copy cats, intro blu tooth very last, now they never give MC with any set, plus no OS.Structure is always toyish only bcuz manufacture TFTs screen r bearable, otherwise resale is worst ad most of 50% of their models never marketed, typical korean mind.experimenting on highest MPs HDs Pdas but failures.D900 top of line finish is cracking ad unstable even MC compatability not stable nor u can rr ff the data when using it u have to transfer to fone which takes up memory, whats the use of MCs then.Sam think twice NOW!
