Can anyone provide some experiences regarding the software and its stability? My experience is that Nokia phones just work much better because the software is more stable and often also easier to use. That would probably make the Nokia 3720 a better choice for me, but I really like the battery life and IP67 rating of this Samsung. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I hope I can get myself one as a Christmas present. Im looking forward to its torch, compass, GPS and altimeter feature. My samsung b2100 has been very reliable and I hope this is better.

Will I be able to download a chess game to the 2710?
Have seen lots of games I could download but not chess.
Maybe chess is to complicated and the memory would have to be massive?

got it on tuesday evening - everything liked - the sound is clear and good, ringtone also loud, keys good - awesome phone for that price! :)
but yesterday it hang up - said no memory and shut down. removed/reinserted battery and it worked, but in the morning the same - and it turned off. now its just turning on, shows samsung logo for 5 mins, then asks pin code, then shows five mins the second samsung logo and restarts :( on monday will go back to shop..

the unit u've just bought from samsung UK,not officially for indonesia market r... moreyes, it UK version.
the seller import this phone from there.
I dunno exacty, it maight be UK version or France version. But, Europe version not Indonesian version..

nikhil, 14 Nov 2010damm damm samsung . why the hell didnt you put 2000mah battery in this like the previous 2G xc... morema man,I don't know what you are not happy with the battery ,but with me is already 5 days of usage and still have 2 lines to go down,so I suppose it will last at least a week with normal usage of talking,SMS and torch on,and this is only 3 or 4-th charging since I have it from not much long ago!!

I've got this phone yesterday.. still doubting shock resistant.
Overall, casing is more plastic (like normal phone) not like 2100 (.
IMHO
I think the specification maybe correct, they didn’t put MIL-STD 810F.
Dimension is big, that I like.. Looks good in hand
TFT sreen is nice, camera is OK.
Got new feature (GPS, compass), but not for shock resistant .
