Does anyone have a Z500V on UK Vodafone? Mine seems to be missing the alarm function, is this right?
This is the best umts phone ever it gote everything It has a flsch memory stickport bluetooth IR, You name it the phoone got it.........
Does it have a flash? I cant decide between this and the e730. any advice would be great. i really want good pictures, but like the idea of 3G.
Also, what about the e720, what are the major downfalls of that model in comparison to the other 2
hatem, it is currently only out on a contract, but is rumoured to have a PAYG price of around the same as the E720 (£250-£300). On most contracts it is free, although its likely you'll have to pay a smallish fee for an upgrade)
As for the languages, on my O2 version, it includes 18 languages... Its probably best to use an in-store demo version to make sure... Just go to settings, phone settings, languages then choose phone language and look down the list
Speakerphone = yes
Camera = 1MP (1152*864), so if you define that as good, then yes the camera is good, although, if you're after a phone with a noticably better quality, SonyEricsson have a few 2MP ones out / coming out
only 2 question that is:
1- how mich?
2-is it have arabic language?
No problem, Laura :)
The whole idea of the front screen on this phone is a bit strange, they should have had an editable option to keep it on for your own time limit, like the internal screen, or permanently. I was beginning to think that there was no real use for the front screen!
What is quite cool though, is if you hold down the camera button while the phone is closed, you can take a picture of yourself!
Don't you think its stupid that they called the function for answering the phone by flipping it open "Active Folder"?
Also, did anyone else notice, if you dial a number and go to options it says "send messege"??? A typo on a mobile!!!!
Its a matter of choice. I have z500 and hubby has D500 .....
D500 gives you more options for the camera mode but i like the clam Z500 also D500 has 1.3mp where as I have 1...
can't see any other difference....
Laura, the clock only comes up for a matter of seconds on the front screen. If you wish to look at the time after it has gone and dont have the digital clock on, hold down the volume control button on the left when the phone is closed
You can up the volume by manually editing the MP3. I did that for my E720 also. I amplified the MP3's volume so it is louder. Need to do that as the E720 can't vibrate and ring at the same time while Z500 can.
Hope this helps.
I think I will be sending it back :( if nobody has a solution to the ringtone problem.
It's a shame, because I love it in every other way! Not alot of point in keeping it tho, if you can't hear it, when it's ringing.
Just got my new z500. Only had a chance to have alittle play and all seems great except.....I can't get tyhe big clock to come up on the external screen. I have chaged it on display and cover LCD to Analogue clock 1 but it is still not appearing. Your help would be ,uch appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, Has anybody managed to make the ringtones/mp3's any louder?
I love this phone, and that is the only downside for me, so far... I'm even worried that I may not hear it some of the time when it rings!
I've tried raising the overall volume of the media player, and obviously the tone volume in the profile.
Andre, It has got a speakerphone.
I got my replacement through, and all my 'problems' had already been sorted by Samsung's (excellent) customer services! I'm gonna send the replacement back as I have already gotten certain configurations sorted with me old one.
My only quibble is, and its probably with all Samsungs, is that you can't directly use MP3's as message tones. You can use them directly as ringing tones, but it can only use MMF files, but there are converters around so it doesn't really matter
Can someone please tell if Z500 has a SPEAKER PHONE? so I can put it on speaker while driving and talk.
Got my Z500 last week but can't use the phone function as my number is still waiting to be ported.
However, charged it for 20 hours when I first got it, played around with menus and tones for less than an hour total, used the media player to listen to M4A audio files for 50 minutes, and the battery died a few hours later! I didn't (can't) even make any calls! I hope its gets better with more charges.
