I've got some software that could help you to watch full length movies, video clips on your Sharp 902, and software to make you put ur Mp3 song to be a ringtons. If you interesting on this, email me. It's gonna be £2.5 for the ringtons soft, and £3.5 for the movies soft.

Hi, Im thinking about getting a sharp 902 from japan- are there any obvious problems in doing so (i know that the japanese 3g is more advanced software) and also- does the sharp 902 have a selection of themes? I own a sharp gx-10i and the vodafone menu is dead boring- and i dont want to find the same sort of thing- the red red and red menu! Themes would brighten things up i guess....

      Hi Will,

I am trying to use the media player. but the madia player can not ditect any MP3 format. I can play only the 3gp video format.

The music player can recognize only the amr format from 'sound and ringtone' folder which is very low quality. So I am little bit angry on this terminal :(.

Could you please send me some MP3 file that you played on your terminal?

I have it! 1st of all, I didn't know how to operate the bloody thing, but when you get the hang of it, you'll be able to watch movies, listen to mp3's, video-phone, and even make your own (free!) ringtones (at this point I have hear my name by Armand van Helden, lovely). I know the phone if quite expensive, but if you fully use all of the phone's options, and you've got a few bucks to spare (paid €750,- for mine) then the phone will be up to the price... If you don't use all the options, but still have money, then I wouldn't buy it, because it is quite large, and not really stylish (white is quite nice, but not that hot...) Well, good luck deciding. I love it!

          OIII,

does anyone know ANYTHING about the new GX series? Last year around this time they announced the GX30 and I'm SO BLOODY UNPATIENT about the new GX40. I really just want to know what specs SHARP has this time for us. Will they skip 2MP? 16M screen? Optical Zoom like the Japanese models? TV Tune....AAAHHHHHHHHHH

Someone say something, find something, do something :P

Tipu - Mp3 format is rip in two ways. Sharp only supports the common standard which is Constant Rate (e.g. always 128kbps) and memory saving Varible Rate (e.g. where music switches kbps depending on requirement) which saves more memory.

If this doesnt solve it, then try ripping the mp3 again or trying a different SD card.

If it still doesnt work, looks like a software fault.

                              Hi Will,

Thanks for your reply. I've placed mp3 (128kbps) files both in root folder and also in PRIVATE - VODAFONE - My Items - Sounds & Ringtone folder, but 902SH failed to get the files from sd card. I don't know what is the problem.

Tipu - Mp3 must be places in the corrected folder for the phone to find it.

PRIVATE - VODAFONE - My Items - Sounds & Ringtone.

Do not place mp3 inside a folder, it must be place as a file.

Also, the phone can't play MP3 over 192kbps.

Michael Lynch - If the phone is hacked, and theres a software problem, Sharp can refuse to repair or repair @ a charge.

                                    Hey guys,

I am very new to this platform. I just got a 902SH and I am trying but failed to play mp3 from sd card. The music shows no mp3 files from sd card. Any body knows how can I play mp3 from sd card and what type(such as extension with avi, asf, wmv etc) of video file I can play using 902SH.
                                    Thanks

what you say ??? that sharp 902 camera is worst than the gx 30 one ??, videos in sd complete screen are far superior in 902 the best in an european mobile phone and the photos are better too, also with the video out facility you can see the videos in tv with high quality 902 is much better than gx 30 i had the gx 30 too and the stereo mp3 of 902 wins to the gx 30, greetings from spain
