This phone tick most boxes for me:
- Available in my country and its official
- Has bright OLED display
- Side fingerprint sensor (rare to find in the midrange phone)
- Snapdragon processor
- Above average cameras
- Plenty of RAM
- Decent storage and fast one (UFS 4.0)
- Vanilla Android
- Decent battery and charging speed
- USB C with display out
- Has white variant
Some downsides:
- Price is near to flagship teritory
- Sharp aquos is new in my country, not proven (even it is #1 in Japan)
- Software update seems slow and average (3 years major android update)
- Design of camera bump is not for everyone
- Lack of ecosystem (tablet, watch/band, earbud, laptop, etc.)
If the price if off by 20-30% this will be irresistable phone to buy. Strong candidates when its time to buy new phone for myself.

Where did Sharp's technology come from? If you dig deeper, you will find that Japan has also "stolen" a lot of technology.

Koreans, not limited to Chinese, are good in taking things over after stealing technology from others.
Japanese also was too proud of themselves, and forgot to do proper research on global market.

One says LCD omits less blue light while the other says completely opposite, WTF
does this phone have always on display?
There is no macro mode for the camera & it has trouble focusing for close-ups (auto or manual mode).
Phone is still on Oct 1st 2024 Android security update.
This is about 2 months delay from the quarterly updates from Sharp.
wlxgrf, 19 Nov 2024I'm curious why you would rather have an LCD screen over an OLED screen? My reasons, lcd displays are much better for eyes. Other displays technology's hurt my eyes, colors are like painted and after short time feeling become uncomfortable to read text's.. size of display doesn't help, paradoxically 4.5 lcd witch I currently using is better than 6+ amoled.. and love compact form against todays brick trend phones without 3.5mm and SD card with ugly cameras "island" .. every device is looking almost the same, design and spec's have marginal difference.

Their old culture (called "jeong" or something like that) encourages to be liars as long as they can get what they want.
Perhaps their culture has improved, but it is VERY risk to do business with them.
I am not trying to discriminate them; however, just stating about known fact.

Sharp should just get involved in Open Source development just as 1+ did.
Once you join sam-scam, you will end up with being taken over everything.
You do joint-venture with sam-scam only if you already lost interest in your company and want to sell everything to them.

I have this phone, purchased it from Japan, I have the sim free version (SH M28), sim locked version is the SH 51E , I wanted this phone since it came out, best thing is the camera and the option to support esim, physical sim and microsdxc at a medium size phone.
All i want for This new year is this..The Processor can handle some games smoothly and the camera Is decent..But love it tho because it has Snapdragon Gen series and Has more than 200 Refresh rate
