Sharp Android Announcement

Sharp introduced the latest entries to its AQUOS line of smartphones with the brand new zero2 flagship, sense3 and sense3 plus midrangers.

AQUOS zero2

The AQUOS zero2 packs an impressive 6.4-inch curved OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate. This is double of current best offerings like the Asus ROG Phone ll so it would be interesting to see how it fares in real life. Sharp is also proud to announce that its the lightest 6-inch phone, tipping the scales at just 143 grams.

The display comes with an FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie cam. There’s an in-display fingerprint reader and a less secure facial unlocking system. The back houses a dual-camera setup with a 12 MP F/1.7 main shooter and a 20MP F/2.4 ultrawide angle secondary cam.

Under the hood, the AQUOS zero2 packs the Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. The battery capacity comes in at 3,130 mAh which is rather small given the high refresh rate. The phone is also water and dustproof thanks to its IPX5 / IPX8 / IP6X ratings. On the software front, this device will run Android 10 out the box.
