I do heard that the AU, Docomo and Softbank version already received update to Android 12. Really makes me wonder why mine still haven't received any update, not even an Android 11 update.

- Step 1: I tried removing the sim card from the phone and then resetting factory it.
- Step 2: I set up the phone as usual - during those steps, remember, you don't need to insert your sim.
- Step 3: After setting up all of the steps, I go to Play Store, search for the app named "Japan VPN - Plugin for OpenVPN" and install this app.
- Step 4: Open this app and click the install button to install "OpenVPN for Android".
- Step 5: Returning to Japan VPN and completing some config to run VPN.
- Step 6: Running VPN and go to the Setting app, scroll to Update software and check to update the phone.
You can try this method to update your phone which coming from Japan.
Can anyone tell me how to update this phone, mine still stuck at android 10. The phone model is SH-Z20.

This is my fifth Sharp softbank issued phone.
Sharp undoubtedly has the best display in their phones. Software is very stable. The lightest Android phone!
The refresh rate of screen is amazing.
Sin, 13 Aug 2022240hz screens phones
Why is no other manufacturers making them ?
It's like technol... moreIt's almost as if *gasp* any phone's screen-on time will plummet with that refresh rate 😱 Also, never mind the additional heat that the screen and SoC will generate because of that additional effort to push for that frame rate...
But even if SOMEHOW both screen-on time and heating won't suddenly be a problem, 90+% of games and apps don't even support anything above 60fps until now. That's still true even though most of the newly released phones today have 90-120hz screens. Now for the games/apps that do support it, remember that it's still not automatically a blanket statement for all phones as many apps do have a whitelist of specific models.
So tell me why the hell would you even expect for the devs to make an effort just for probably the only 240hz phone model in the world that also has a microscopic global market share?
NeonHD, 09 Jun 2022Weeb phone? But where are the anime waifus on this phone?"Anything related to Japan = weeb" mentality for this guy apparently

240hz screens phones
Why is no other manufacturers making them ?
It's like technology screen technology not improving at all
Is sharp still even making smartphones I hope they are and make a gaming phone with bezels and cooling system
I think gaming phones are overdue for 240hz screens or possibly Sony phones hopefully someone makes a 240hz screen smartphone
HasanAijaz, 14 Jul 2022If anyone is using this phone kindly leave an honest review. Should I go for it? Hi,
Do yourself a favour and look for something else. I have this for over 1,5 year and as much as it was ok at the start yest battery was dead by half day now it's just pure rubbish. It keeps freezing multiple times a day and even the reset is not fixing it. With normal use you have to charge it 3 times a day. So again skip sharp and move on. I have had 4 phones by the brand and that it now.
Bennedict929, 11 Jun 2022does this phone has a heatpipe or any sort of cooling for the SOC?It is a Thìn phone. I guess that there is no cooling pipe at all
They're great but in battery capacity, they didn't make it.... at least they should improve battery capacity, for better performance
If anyone is using this phone kindly leave an honest review. Should I go for it?
Japan Sharp can innovate always ahead of time. Others are good at hype like the Chinese Oneplus now British Nothing
A Japanese company with this phone naming. I'm not surprised.
does this phone has a heatpipe or any sort of cooling for the SOC?
