i bought this phone like 4 days ago can someone tell me how do i take photos whithout hearing that stupid sound? plz someone help me
A great phone - stylish and good functionality. MUCH longer battery life than my previous Samsung. But, does anyone know whether it has an active flip and how you set it to answer calls upon opening? Can't find any info on this... Thanks.
Well...to people out there who wanted to buy this phone SHARP GX29. Well, i just receieved my this phone and it was totally a disaster to me. This phone doesn't work really well. to those of you think of buying it, please double confirm b4 commit anything. When i received this phone, at 1st i was really pleased. And when i started to open the cover...it wasn't work really well. And i was so regret...of buying this phone. First, the signal doesn't get me through. The key pad don't have any light on it. So stupid...and again, the ring tones is not very nice too...So the next step i am going to buy is, VK530 mobile. it's a pink color mobile and i know many people love this color so much and the mobile too. So i trust VK530!! I am sure no problem if i buy it. So people, do not let the SHARP trick your costs. Be sure of it b4 commit anything. Ok. See u. bye!!
Im finding this is a great little phone. Not sure why ppl's keypad not ligthing up as mine does, but enough of that and onto why I'm making a comment.
Some ppl have said that they cant assign ring tones to contacts. Took me a few hours but have figured out how. As you will know "contacts" can be saved to the sim or the phone. The assign ringtone (to a contact) option can only be done if the contact is saved to your phone or both(NOT just to the sim) Its easy to shift a contact from one to the other so that should solve ppl's problem.
Hope that saves a few ppl pulling their hair out. lol
had this phone as an upgrade with vodafone, the battery life is zero, had to charge it almost every 2hrs, had to send it back, good thing about the phone, it is light weight. but nothing more
Well I have had this phone for 2 days now and I think it is exeptional. I bought the phone wanting just a simple handset that let me call, sms and email. You can't blame a phone for being what it is if you didnt find out first. I did my research and picked this phone. As for the keys, they DO light up and night use is fine. If yours don't light up maybe you have a faulty handset? The email function is also easy and simple to use. Quite speedy too. The design of the handset is good too. Slimline and functional. The screen quality is excellent and although the camera is limited, the pictures it produces are fantastic! All in all I would give this phone 9 out of 10.
i think this hone is useless. i can download ringtones or games. cant use amr sounds for ringtones. it has really crappy sounds already saved in it when buying it. all in all, this is a crappy phone. i wish i never purchased it!!!
hello to all
i have been reading the posts and telling that the sharp gx29 doesn´t turn the lights on on the keypad at night that doesnt make any since..... the oldest mobile turns the ligths on on the keypad..... im going to buy this mobile in 15 days.but.should i buy it ?? i wrote many messages at nigth....
I bought my phone and in general it is fine - does the job. The charging cover requires fine fingernail to get it open - I find it awkward and is now casualty. The keypad is fine in daylight but not at night it does not light up. The screen is good - and I have yet to find out how to increase letter sizes. Battery I have does not last long enough and I have failed to find an in car hands free kit. The case is good and fits nicely in pocket - the navigation is poor as some functions require an OK whereas others of a similar change do not appear to require the OK. The camera function is OK however Video struggles. The phone was cheap and I guess this is reflected in the item. Would I buy another not sure? I use a blue tooth earpiece - this is fine however it is absent of bleeps when dialling. THe charging connection is a spade type and is fundemantly awakward espedcially in the car - the straight plug type is better.
I've had my GX29 for a month, it was a upgrade from my old GX10. The new phone does everything the old one does and I like the wider spaced buttons for my man size fingers. My only gripes are the key pad doesn't light up at night and your never sure what end you are supposed to open when your in a hurry. Otherwise a nice little phone :)
I buy the sharpGX29 and Im like the performance of the mobile. what myself it dislikes is dont have games, what comes in the mobile is just only demo, know where I can get free games for this mobile? or itself exists some another mobile with the system like this? that I can use the games?
thanks Kristall :)
Hello everyone, sharp gx29 @ its very nice slim phone with silver color and inside black. its easy to use then sharp gx10i which I had previus, I like this handset and its very handy, its not complecated as I thought before, I got this phone from work as an prize and I am using it and enjoying it. best of luck.
This phone is light and simple clean and classy looking without trying too hard. I like the keys they are positive and feel nice, the sound quality of calls is much better than my last phone which was a sony ericson. The screen is very good too.
My gripes are on the functionallity end. Firstly you have a calendar which is good but you have an option to put a calendar on your startup screen. The only thing is if your eyes are not that good like mine, the fonts are difficult to read, and you dont have an option to change them.
Also the calculator, the 9 6 and 8 all run together and make it very hard to distinguish clearly what you are looking at, and again you can not change the fonts to make it clearer.
Also on my last phone I had a stopwatch, which was useful if I wanted to mediate, I could set for a hours and it would count down. This phone appears not to have this facility to set a count down times.
Also there is no snooze option on the alarm so if you miss it and fall asleeep it will not keep coming again to wake you, which I had on the last phone.
As I say the sound quality is good and it feels nice generally but I AM disapointed by the functionality, and it is just small things which just take a bit of thinking about, not things which would be difficult to fix at all. So a bit disapointed with sharp over this.
The hardward part is great though, and I feel good about the actual object. But only 7 out of 10 I am affraid. Though I guess I will get used to it.
won the phone at work got it unlocked for 02 sim card, does anyone know the settings for mms? all in all nice stylish phne but poor battery life and could have had mp3 tones and games
da phone is great i dnt no why people don't like it. i love da shape it's a good phone to buy. i think it shud come with infrared.
but otherwise it's all gud
So far delighted with phone, great screen and easy to use. Trying to locate a case but so far no luck.
GX29 is made in Japan or in China?
Because I heard that GX40 is made in China.
please correct the figures of "dimension" and "weight" as the brochure says:
Got mine yesterday. Awkward to text from, and the screen gets smeary very quickly. But - and this is driving me crazy - no matter how I try, it will not allocate different ring tones to different contacts. I've tried following the instructions, I've tried doing what seems right, and it just doesn't happen. Please, someone, tell me how I can assign different ringtones to different contacts!
