Ofcourse they were strong and reliable - they didn't have much that could actually go wrong because there wasn't MUCH to go wrong!
Siemens were the best phones! i've had like 10 phones after this one, and this one was the best. Even comparing it with BB and nokias (of course not talking on functions). But siemens were strong and reliable phones!
I bought this phone 1st quarter of 2005 and requested a technician to convert it to an open line since it was locked with SMART. something must have gone wrong 'coz it's no longer charging. I still keep it with me just in case i can stumble on someone who knows how to fix it. any help?
Kamal, 14 Feb 2009I have mc 60 I want to know that is it GPRS compatible handset or not.I use my MC60 to go online in Malaysia on the GPRS network here, so yes, it does have a GPRS modem built in. It's only good for about 5-10KB/s though.
Udin, 25 Feb 2009Can anybody fix it , by replacing the internal memory with the bigger one. Just about 100 MB .... moreI don't really think you need to do something as complicated as that. Just remembered, when this phone came out, they had them SEXY posters all over Europe.
Anyway, just hide this phone in a drawer, to remind you of good times, and buy something new and decent, like SonyEricsson, SAMSUNG or NOKIA.
Can anybody fix it , by replacing the internal memory with the bigger one. Just about 100 MB . And modify its speaker with louder one. Perhaps with double speaker.
Probably the coolest looking phone I've ever owned. Great that you could get snap on covers for it too.

Alif, 29 Jun 2008 I think siemens should upgrade mc60 with nowdays technology and relaunch it to market. The de... moreIt could, but Siemens-Mobile has passed away. So the only hope is that some Chinese buys it at e-bay and copies it.
Nice phone, keyboard is very ergonomic. Camera is, well, let's say so la-la, display is not that good and the battery is empty after 2 days. But it is handy and offers 2 mb to store games and applications. There even is a version of Opera Mini for it.
I had this phone for about 5 years and its still working well . but it just working , there is no fun in this phone . even no bluetooth .
Have used this for over a year back in 2004-2005 and now have it in my collection, considering to put it in operation again. Pretty and still working, is very good for someone that only needs to make and receive calls. I had also put a black changeable cover, which made it look awesome.
I've been using this phone for about four years now and it still works. Not as good as it used to but good enough. What bothers me the most is low quality of pictures and the battery is "allready" giving up on me. But I still love it's design, it's something special.
hi, i like this phone very much except the fact that the camera doesn't make quality picture. i have this phone already 5 years and is still working perfectly.
hello i am ziggy from Ghana, this phone is very quality but the only problem is very expensive here and also the recordings is not all other clear. i have been using this phone about four years. thank you.
I can't begin to describe the hardships I faced with this inferior phone. The design was very catchy but the construction quality was abyssmal. The panel would keep coming off and the keys felt like they were made from cheap recycled plastic. The camera was just a piece of useless technology with absolutely no application. The screen was very very bad - bad resolution, bad colour saturation, bad contrast and illegible under sunlight. Only saving grace was Siemens user interface which made the phone interesting. Many features and functions which just kept you busy exploring. Network and call handling was again below average. We could connect to the computer using a cable but that is where the excitement ends. Battery life was thankfully, above average. If you own this phone, keep it as a reminder of what not to buy!
