It looked like a good phone and design quite similar to Nokia 7650 but it does not have the built-in camera and the memory space of 1.6MB is definitely too small. Since this model has came out later than the Nokia 7650, Siemens should have improve on the Memory space and have something better than the existing model and not worst off. What you think?

I was surprised when see this SL55 in shop.It is togather different as seems to be in picture. I fall in love in my first sight and purchased at once as only few sets were left in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Ehmm.. You can't have this phone. I commes out in Mai/Juni/Juli, but yes you are right this is a very good phone!

I'm gonna buy the SL55, but the color you see at the picture (blue)is just the color of the prototype. You can chose the colors: Titan and Red!

TO STEVE:
1) The Siemens SL55 IS NOT the descendant of SL45.
2) Let me guess.... Are you using a MMC card with your SL45? The problems that you report is something common with these cards.

i owned a sl45 a while back and in one year had 3 phones under warrenty, and the last one wasnt any better. All phones had same problems and after many phone calls i got no satisfactory replys from customer service. All phones buttons used to jam up, phone functions freezed, used to switch itself off, functions if didnt freeze would be very slow. After talking to several dealers, all agreed that the phone gave trouble to just about all customers and did not recomend the SL45. Has the SL55 overcome the obvios problems of the SL45 as even with my huge dissapointment, i feel the structure quality is the best and also the design of the top line siemens phones and would be prepared to try once more....

O F F I C I A L L Y, the Siemens SL55 has 4.096 colours, not 256.

siemens has released a new 4096 screen phone the m55. visit the siemens website. the phone is excellente!
