SK hynix - one of the leading memory chipmakers announced it is now shipping its first supplies of Low Power Double Data Rate 5X (LPDDR5X) mobile DRAM to its customers. The new 24GB LPDDR5X memory will debut on the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro which is confirmed to launch in China on August 16.

SK hynix began mass producing its 24GB LPDDR5X DRAM back in November 2022 using the HKMG process which enables the memory chip to deliver best-in-class power efficiency and performance. The new 24GB LPDDR5X DRAM operates at ultra-low voltages of 1.01 to 1.12V and is capable of processing up to 68GB of data per second – that’s enough to transfer 13 FHD movies in one second.

OnePlus China President Li Jie added that with the new 24GB memory chip, OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is capable of opening up to 53 apps simultaneously and can hold up to 41 applications open in memory for up to 72 hours.

All those crazy RAM power on modern smartphones, yet we still can't natively run desktop virtualization on the phone. With this kind of power, the phone can easily be the only computer an average consumer ever need.

That's still impressive for 4 GB of RAM, could the better chipset improve the RAM management somehow?

Redmi Note 10 5G, I tried right after you said that. it can hold 3-4 apps without reloading (Facebook, Discord and whatsapp) I tried to loop with other apps like Line but it will close one of those the app I mentioned earlier.
