Some Samsung Galaxy S25 phones will use Exynos 2500 after all

Samsung Android Rumors

We've heard rumors back and forth about Samsung using only Snapdragon chips for its upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup or including the Exynos 2500 SoC into the mix. But the latest Geekbench score sheet shows the Galaxy S25+ running on the Exynos 2500, basically confirming the previous scheme - some markets get the Exynos-powered versions, like the European market, and others will receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

There were even rumors about Samsung struggling with the Exynos 2500 yield, but it looks like the situation isn't as bad. The scoresheet showing the Galaxy S25+ running on the unreleased Exynos 2500 is solid proof that some markets will get the Exynos treatment.

We also get to see the CPU configuration - 10-core CPU with the prime core running at 3.3 GHz, coupled with two high-performance cores at 2.75 GHz and five more at 2.36 GHz. There are only two power-efficient cores ticking at 1.8 GHz. The GPU is Xclipse 950, powered by AMD's RDNA architecture.

As far as the scores are concerned, we suggest you don't read too much into those. This is obviously a pre-production sample, so comparisons against the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chips are pointless at this point.

Instead of going with snapdragon , samsung just need to change their flagship chip foundry for flagship to Tsmc , then they can get their reputation back. Once they earn enough reputation and significant advantage in thermal control for mid range chi...
