Sony releases Android 13 for the Xperia 1 IV and Xperia 5 IV

Sony just announced the start of the rollout of the Android 13 update to the Xperia 1 IV and Xperia 5 IV flagships.

Details are scarce as to where the rollout would begin, how big the firmware is, or whether there will be any special features added. But if you own either phone we'd advise you to check for an update now (and maybe drop us a line with the details).

Android 13 builds on the Material You design language with theme, color, and icon customization options, updates to digital well-being, and security, the ability to set different languages for different apps, improved permissions, and much more.
