metcarded, 23 Jan 2010This phone is bloody brilliant!!! Opera mini5.2 works like a dream, best mobile browser ever ... moreI have a question.. Since Opera Mini 5 works fine in Aino, does the slider keypad (i dont know the right term..sorry for that) need to be open since if you hide it, it will go back to the media gallery..?? sorry for the english :D
robzz, 23 Jan 2010confused with aino and satio i'm interestd in a music phone. which one has the best speakers ... morebased from what i've read.. Satio is more of a camera phone and Aino is for music phone. So if you are confused of what to buy, Choose Aino since it has better sound quality.. :D
Well.. I don't have an aino phone.. but i'm getting one this month even if there are a lot of people saying bad things about this phone.. Still i won't think twice buying this one.. the design is great especially the luminous white..i've been reading reviews about this phone and i love the features.. I prefer buying Sony Ericsson phones that those from Nokia because of the overall quality... So I must say Good Job SE team!! Keep it up :)
confused with aino and satio

Finally got my Aino ... awesome ... excellent ... I got black ... It has just about everythin... great camera ... video ... awesome sound ... Even the battery lasts for 2 and a half days with moderate use ... trust me... im totally satisfied with it ....
This phone is bloody brilliant!!!
Opera mini5.2 works like a dream, best mobile browser ever and i've used them all.
The only thing that would make this phone perfect is if some clever person out there hacks it so that the whole phone is able to be used as a touch phone.
The bundled features are also pretty damn nice, a stand with charger, stereo bluetooth headset, in ear earphones and awesomeness.
Good job Sony Ericsson. Keep up the good work.
Lowrider, 21 Jan 2010Hie guys...I am here to answer those who have a problem choosing SE W995 or Aino.I was in this... moreHow can you judge a phone by reading comments posted by people who don't own the aino?? It is plain ignorance on your behalf!!! If you take a good look at the comments, you will find that all aino owners love the phone..All negative comments are from people who probably haven't actually used the phone in person..I am an aino owner and I haven't encountered any bugs or errors with the phone>>it is simply brilliant(has a few disadavantages just like any other phone; the perfect phone does not exist!!). So an owner tells you it once froze while taking a picture during a call!! Is that even a reasonable thing to do??
If you simply don't want to try the aino, then dont attack it without previous knowledge. Once again, don't say it's bad just because it is not perfect..There is no and won't be a perfect phone!!!
R i S k, 22 Jan 2010I'm an SE FAN but it took weeks before i made a decision on what should i buy. Yeah LOWRIDER i... morethe opera mini browser works perfectly with the touchscreen...does prove there are a loooot of people here who don't know enough about the aino but simply attack it!!
K., 23 Jan 2010There is no camera on the front, for video calling you have to turn the phone around! (not goo... moreU can sort that by making ur phone default for pc as modem, then set ur network type and u have a choice of 4 things ur phone can do whilst connecting via usb. Choose menu. Hope tht helpz.
I have my aino for about 2 month, never freezed, never nothing of those disadvantages they talk... Just an amazing phone! Superb Camera, great sound and display, Wi-Fi, the GPS is great too...
Only thing i don't like is the POP up menu that when you receive a message it pop's up the internet icon, and no way to change that (yet) :)
Great phone after all ;)
There is no camera on the front, for video calling you have to turn the phone around! (not good)
I have experienced freezing once, it was when i tried to take a photo whilst on a call. I had to take out the battery to reset it in the end.
Having said that I have also had freezing on all of my other phones LG, samsung etc.
Not keen on the 1/2 touch screen as well, You can only use the touch screen for the media functions, for everything else you have to slide open the phone.
However the touch screen is very accurate compared to the LG phones.
The usb data cable function is bad aswell, when you connect it shuts down the phone to access and then takes forever to start back up.
kutasi, 23 Jan 2010Again. That's right! I'm owner too.To all Aino owner--> good luck! happy buying useless phone.
The Defender of Aino, 22 Jan 2010(Sound of Thunder) Finally...I'm back to the forum!!! I'm here to get things in the right ... moreI think you work with SE, that's why....who would like to buy a big-like useless phone?
Aino owner....many people complain of the screen freezing....so you mean to say that it has not even done that once?...so these people are bull shitting is it?or are u just living with the problem? Dont get me worng.I am a SE fan too...never ever used a nokia in my life.but its actually not that nice to have an unstable phone like the aino.sorry man.have fun with ur phone
I'm an SE FAN but it took weeks before i made a decision on what should i buy. Yeah LOWRIDER is correct, SE AINO is a "Handsome idiot".
-No front camera(w995 does have)
-No bottons to press(with slider close)for you to access the menu(only the media menu, unlike w995). Which means you need to open the slide before you can acecss everthing and gives more chance to wear out the flex slide.
-battery life is less(most of the guys said)
-absence of 3.5mm jack that means you need to rely on the bluetooth device which only last for 5-6hours of usage.(not recommended for music lovers)
-very expensive with just a plastic cover
-limited touch screen usage for media only(AMF! How about using the internet? I do prefer touch screen phones when browsing the internet coz it is much easier to browse compare to navigational buttons)If SE include the limited touch screen usage for browsing the internet that would give a thumbs up for them.
Soon newer models will be release that will be much better than AINO. There are so many things SE need to correct. SE made a dissappointing decision to release AINO with so many flaws. Although AINO looks perfect from the first glance better think twice before buying it. I'll go for the last walkman phone model SE W995!
Aino owner, 22 Jan 2010The comments here are incredibly rediculous...All I can see are people talking about bugs and ... moreis it real ??? should i buy it..i was just going to the shop..wen i saw the reviews i was shoucked !!
The comments here are incredibly rediculous...All I can see are people talking about bugs and disadvantages that i haven't encountered; it makes me think that these people aren't actual owners of the phone>>but simply haters!! I have owned this phone for more than two months(my 1st SE phone), and it is an amazing phone! Beautiful design, superbly responsive touch in the media menu and downloadable touch applications, excellent camera(very vivid zoom), brilliant audio experience whether connected to a fastport headset or via bluetooth, wonderful display and colours which makes me enjoy downloading wallpapers...
Minor disadvantages: low volume of mono speaker, few themes available so far, and more touch capabilities would have been a perfect bargain!
I find all the negative comments completely irrelevant and proof that these ppl haven't actually handled the phone!! If you're looking for style, an awesome camera, great screen, wonderful music, and don't want to completely get rid of using a keypad>>this phone stands out for the errand!!!!
