Navi, 24 May 2009Hi.... Can we use C510 as web cam...?Nope,sorry to say it can't be use as a video cam for your yahoo messenger but it can only be use for video conference
Anonymous, 24 May 2009The screen is 2.2'. That's big but somehow sony ericsson has successfully made it appear small... more2.2 is just ok no need for 2.4 inch unless you really want to watch videos, unlike K800's 2.0 inch screen
Anonymous, 24 May 2009Can anyone who has the phone give a quick review? Thankstry www.phonearena.com there's a quick review
I bought c510 yesterday.. Its awesome in its price range.
Yes , there is option for 3.5 mm jack!! You can connect it to Sony hands free. Camera is good. Only drawback is camera performance is average in low light conditions.
Price is 11,000 in bangalore.
The screen is 2.2'. That's big but somehow sony ericsson has successfully made it appear smaller. Look at the extra space on the top part of the phone. They could put a 2.4'-inch display in there. They should have made the phone with a shorter dimension, or raised the screen a little higher putting some space between the softkeys and the screen (like that of c901).
The price is dropping here in the Philippines. It now costs around 9,800 pesos from 10,300+. But still a bit overpriced for me. Hoping the price still drops further. Value for money is what i'm looking for. I'll buy this when the price reaches 8,500. When will that be? Next year? Hahahah.
Confused One., 23 May 2009ohoho! thx 4 helping me out. wah! so long i din go into tis page, so many comment edi! hah... moreWell you're phone should be fully charged before upgrading the firmware update over the air,if you upgrade it then it goes empty battery then there might be a possible defect on the firmware. So it's safer if you use a computer. :D
Confused One., 23 May 2009u r not using the xenon flash all the time rite?
so no problem in equipped xenon flash on c51... moreK850 is a good phone, but it has it's downsides like the BROD (Blue Rings of Death) it may cause your phone too malfunction and the three touch sensitive buttons can wear out easily if not taken proper care.
For sound quality it's great,Sony Ericsson phones are great through sound quality even if it's a cyber-shot it's great.
For image quality well I think the elderly k800/k810 is a good choice.
The c510 has the advantage of better clarity outdoors, well about indoors... let's say you know about the attitude of the c510 indoors
Anonymous, 22 May 2009Xenon consumes battery power and that increases the required battery capacity. Additional cost... moreu r not using the xenon flash all the time rite?

Anonymous, 21 May 2009Oh for heavens sake do i have to keep saying this. This phone is a budget offering hence no Xe... moreTotaly agree... For example, when K750 appeared in my country it costed about 400 Euros (2005). Then it was high-end. Now it's mid-range and it costs around 100 Euros if you can still find it in stores, but still has many features, among the autofocus of the camera which most 2.0 MP midrange togay lack, so I think that for a midrange of today, it's more than ok.
K800 was high-end in 2006, while K810 has some software fixes in 2007. High-end => xenon flash... Now they are mid-range (again..) , but with xenon flash :P
C510 is now midrange and found it in a store with about 220 Euros.
Although I can't see any BIG difference between older and newer SE software, except for an extra button for the confirmation key :) the SMS threaded view and the youtube integration, it seems to me that high-end SE phones have a better camera :P than the rest.. Just my impression?
I am crossing my fingers, hoping that GSMArena will release a review within the upcoming week. I think I will buy this next weekend.
