hi! i have this unit, and i'm really glad to have it!!! =))
This is one SOLID phone... sturdy and exceptional build quality!
Still need to get used to the keypad though, seems too small for my fingers. Camera is the best I've used on a phone, sharper than the 5mp K850i. Loud ringer (not as loud as my old W850i) and WalkMan level Media center is a joy to use. GUI has beautifully done details but does get sluggish sometimes. GPS works beautifully. Battery life is good but I'll have to test it out more for the next few weeks.
Overall, one of the best phones I've owned!
Hey gsm I was wondering if this phone has good sound quality because as i can see on the review people are saying the microphone sounds as if its muffed could someone plez help me cause i want 2 buy this phone and i dont want 2 have problems wit the microphone ?
elvin, 30 Oct 2008c702 is louder...Have you hold a w760i in your hand and a c702i and played the same song on both the phones and be more accuarit with your ansers is the phone much louder or just a little bit
c702 is louder...
Has nobody had any problems with this phone at all then?
I must justbe the unlucky one!!
- On phonecalls I can't hear the person I'm talking to when they can still hear me for about 5-6secs in every call.
- It freezes ALL THE TIME.
- Turns on and off occasionally and tells me it has an inactive sim.
- And only last night did it run out of battery, and when I plugged it into my charged it did NOT turn on.
SO I'm now going down to vodafone today to hopefully sort it and get a better phone.
This one's just given me so much hassle!
I want to update my phone using the update service of SE through Internet. My concern is the instruction on how to update, the last instruction is press and hold c. I'll press the c button during and after the installation or updating my phone or after it was recognize by the computer? My fear is the corruption of the software of my phone if the updating is failed. the updated software will download after it was downloaded the installation is the next process. thanks!.
Wich is louder w760i or c702i
the phone is really SOLID!!! WTF
The C702 is a solid device that should sell very well. Wi-fi and a document viewer are the only future updates its successor will need.

I have uploaded 50+ full-size pics and some other users have posted full sized pictures as well.
Oh, one con I forgot in my review was that when zooming in on a photo just taken to check for image detail, the zoomed image becomes blurry, then gets clearer at the zoom level in about 2-3 seconds. Moving the zoom area left or right, up, or down immediately causes the picture to get blurry again and then you have to wait a few seconds for clarity. My previous SE k550i did not do this and I find it very annoying.
I am currently using a Sandisk 1GB memory card with about 100MB photos, 300MB videos, 500MB music, gmail client jar, and a few java games. I am ordering a 4GB Sandisk memory card soon and will post an update if I run into any problems with the new card.
wow its pretty cool phone... i luv it! super damn good phone ever... no cons all pros!!! ^_^

I have had this phone for a couple of months now. I have not had any issues with crashes, hangups, SIM errors or memory card reader problems. Overall I am happy with the phone, but it definitely has a few rough areas. I have updated to the R3CA037 firmware.
-Camera photo quality is very good, especially in daylight, auto focus works well
-Gets good phone reception, is plenty loud
-Plays MP4 videos in iPod format
-Battery life is good for general use
-Screen clarity is very good
-Camera shutter button improved over previous SE phones, needs less pressure
-Numeric keys are a good size and have a good tactile feeling
-Great T9 texting (as with all SE phones)
-Interface is sluggish and slow to respond
-Camera is slow to focus
-No camera digital zoom except for VGA resolution
-GPS doesn't work well for me in the US ... I am in the US and photos sometimes get geotaged in South America!?
-GPS drains the battery quickly
-Screen is easily scratched
-Panorama mode creates images that are low resolution (1648 x 432) and not clear ... I don't use it and instead stitch multiple 3MP images using PC software for much better results.
-LED flash as implemented is annoying to friends, wish it had zenon flash
nice phone torch type light nice feauture pity se battery life is going backwards
i hope it does a better job of catching the signal than my w810 which is an awesome phone
