Anonymous, 23 Jun 2008dear guys is this phone having walkman player like K660????Also, in reply ot a previous question, this phone has the new SE media player and NOt the walkman player like the w880i.
It is slow and not designed to take more than 3 albums!
Just to warn eveyone about this phone. the battery is AWEFUL! Sony Ericsson in their wisdom decided that a GPS enabled phone which has a large screen and lots of features would only need the same battery (the BST33) as the W880i!
The GPS lasts 1 hour 30 mins before running the battery flat.
In addition when multitasking (i.e. playing music and writing a text or surfing the net) the C702 reminded me of why I moved from Nokia's. The software is very slow and has clearly been rushed by Sony.
I'm sending this back a waiting for the iphone! Don't get me wrong I like Sony ut they are falling into the Nokia 'poor software' and 'running before walking' trap!
I dont understand why this phone is catogorized as rugged phone .....look at the key pad. Overall phone is well-built and nice feeling in hand. But keypad is disaster. It does not only look cheap ...its very tiny. I'd have bought a long time ago if it had big solid key pad. AS for big key, there's plenty of free space to be used for.
Just got the Speed Black C702 from my ISP provider Starhub(Singapore).
For Asian country user you are welcome to read my review on this C702 Iron Man phone at here -> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/724781
Hope that the opinion and hands on experience will help you to decide whether to buy this phone or not. Come and have a look to see whether this phone really suit you or not!
Is this phone screen is made up of scratch or not???
What is the hands free materials along with the package???

to all C702 users,
just like to ask if the vid recording is really QVGA@30fps?sound quality and bat life, wat can you say considering these?and does it support up to 8GB?pls rep...:-))))
Great, the price has fallen to $370, they should price the phone competitively before releasing it!!
well most people here are saying k850 is way better than this. im using a k850 for more than a couple of months and im thinking of buying this one. k850's not bad but one should keep on changing. the display is the same 2.2
Hi there i just wanna ask is the sound quality nice? also does it have loud volume?

Im not that concerned as i dont really use the cam very often but would still like some opinions..
pua, 19 Jun 2008I just bought this phone 2 days ago, overall performance are okay (rating 8 out of 10), the on... more@pua:
I'd be interested to read what should be improved with GPS: Speed? Quality? Software included?
Rich, 18 Jun 2008Hi Guys....Can I just say first that I am a SE fan and have had SE phones for years. Previousl... moreHey Rich, slow GPS might just be caused by TTF from factory state. Read more at http://www.gpspassion.com/Hardware/TheFix.htm and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_to_first_fix. I personally liked the keyboard of C702 at the store. However it does not reach K750i regarding the keyboard. Funny, K850i is the phone I personally find terrible. A colleague of mine has it and it's too thick and also the touch keys, no lens cover, etc. are sth. her and I don't like.
If you are looking for free Gps software which displays real offline maps, there are some around. However they don't reach the level of dedicated commercial navigation systems - at least not before you'll get the next phone anyway. ;)
Man you shouldnt even compare this phone with the k850, this is a middle order handset hile k850 was the flagship of SE.
I just bought this phone 2 days ago, overall performance are okay (rating 8 out of 10), the only problem is GPS, I think it still very early stage for SE phone to have GPS, may be in future phone SE can improve that. If you really need a GPS phone just get the PDA phone, this will solve everything. The keypad is quite small but just nice for ASIAN country user........
Hi Guys....Can I just say first that I am a SE fan and have had SE phones for years. Previously I had the K850i which was a great phone. A couple of days ago I upgraded to this phone and got a good deal from O2. I have now packaged the phone up and am returning it to O2 for a full refund.
I have to say that compared to the K850i this phone is absoloutely terrible and it is so over rated.
The GPS module takes ages to connect to satellites and I haven't yet been able to get a position on the phone even after 20 mins of searching for sats!! The keys are aboloutely tiny and it almost impossible to text. The other features of the phone are just your standard everyday features on any phone and do not do anything to make you feel that this is a high end phone.
As I say I do think SE are great and the K850i was superb but the C702 doesn't come close to the K850i.
I am left in a ponder now. Do I wait a few weeks and go for the Nokia N96, or do I wait for a few months and wait for the SE C905.
SE this phone is really disappointing!!!
