Great phone, just update the software and it really works great. The user interface is better than k850. Pictures are greater too. Recommend this phone, I lost my black n82 and replaced it with this one.
confuzzled, 02 Aug 2008sooooo... would you reconmend it or now??? coz there seems to be A LOT of problems atm :SI would not be able to recommend one -when it is working the phone is great - but far too many problems with the firmware - I'd wait and see if they sort it out or get another phone - I've always had SE phones and have always recommended them but now I'm starting to wish I'd looked elsewhwere!
Its up to you, you may get a good one and if you do you'll like the phone, but you may not get a good one, mine started playing up after a few weeks - so its not obvious when you first take it out of the box that it has a problem - when I did take mine back they said it had gone over the 28 days return policy now I'm stuck with it.
i got this phone 1 month ago and as of this time, i never have any trouble using it. some say it is hanging and freezing, but mine isn't.
this phone is awesome.
i recommend it
I am an owner of one and i have two friends who also own one and they keep freezing and the signal keeps cutting out
can any1 tel me if this c902 has a xenon flash. i am planning on getting a new phone ( currently using a k800i ) and is this phone realy so problematic as the other posts state.
My C902's bluetooth went down after 1 week. When the bluetooth hardware was replaced, I went to the shop to pick up my phone. Then it won't open, no power! They had to bring it back to the main office to have the motherboard checked. If still down, they'll replace it but usually takes 2 weeks for replacements... gggrrr!!!
does any1 know what the H means on the fone where the reception bar is?
why isit that when i use some pictures as wallpaper or screensaver the pic looks very blur??
when i view it in gallery is wasnt blur at all.
help!

yep dese new sony ericssons phones are really buggy. i deal phones u knw sell em n stuff. all da latest sony ericssons phones releasing dis now are faulty plus sony are sacking upto 2,000 employees so to get a software update for the phone may come late or might not be up to standards coz they are having trouble with there loss.
I've had this phone for 2 months now and am finding it really frustrating. It crashes when viewing pics, the battery doesn't last very long and accessing contacts etc through the menu is very slow. Definitely not as good as previous Sony Ericssons I've owned. I'm actually considering using my old phone and giving the C902 away.
sooooo... would you reconmend it or now??? coz there seems to be A LOT of problems atm :S
there appears to be a fault with the c902... when recording a video the zoom does not work effectively and is very slow.. the icon that displays how much u zoomed does not work and freezes the phone... the phones4u and other phone shops in my local area have been recalled
Overall pretty happy. Occasional problems with the button size and not giving much tactile feedback
What is the lates firmware? Mine is R3BH002, my previous firmware has also the same problem of skippy music playback. Now its gone, i only used seus.
I posted about Menu being slow and Music Stutter in previous post.
I took it into SE and got it fixed now (BTW, is ridiculous how many ppls is at the center waiting for repairs. I waited 1.5 hrs just to collect my fone)
My new firmware is R2CA037
I think the version i had was the R2CA033 which was causing all the music stutter and slow menu.
Now everything runs smooth and much faster even camera menu comes out quicker and much more responsive.
So find the upgrade firmware if you can.

screen get dirty often.. i can see my finger prints on the screen and its annoying
Dog, 30 Jul 2008U can create slideshows on K850i - a cool feature. Can you do this on the C902?yes you can! it even has slideshow themes like sad which will play depressing music as it transitions or Romantic setting or Happy or Energetic or of course theres always Silent too ;)
Very cool stuff.
Well I've had mine for a bit now and I don't get any freezing at all. Maybe the 902i has a slightly different firmware than the 902.
Either that or there have been updates released that get rid of those bugs.
Awesome phone!
I recommend it. This has GPS in it, you just gotta get an attachment for it. Google Maps is on it and its pretty sweet.
Tobias, 14 Jul 2008Does this phone have GPS?About 40 days ago, my Vodafone cellphone went dead from too many bangs. Having grown up with Sony products, I visited the SE website & decided to get the W910i(very good design). I believe that since I am no technie, W910i should meet my needs.Indeed, W910i is a wonderful phone if you are young & have good hearing. I found it wonderful when I was indoors but once I was on the busy streets, I was rendered incommunicado. So before I purchased the second phone this time,I checked the various forums, visited various phone shops & decided on the C902.
During the first few days of ownership, I really wondered whether SE had been hiring people to write wonderful reviews for them & inserting bail photos. For I found the camera of this C902 perform worse than my ancient Panasonic DC Lumix FX7.Thank God the walkman is comparable to my previous W910i. Of course, the earpiece volume, ringing tone & speakerphone are loud enough when set on the highest setting.
As a retired individual, I just could not afford to buy 3 phones within 2 months(W910i, C902 & ?), so I decided to experiment with the camera. A few hundred photos later(I have all the time in the world),I discovered that the camera is actually comparable to my ancient 5MP Panasonic Lumix. Here are my comments:
1 Photos taken outdoors & indoors(macro & infinite) are sharp, natural, not blurry at all & with fine color reproduction. When I blow the photo up on my computer screen just showing my cat's head, I can practically see the individual hairs. It's that sharp.
2 However, even up to today, I cannot take an acceptable photo when using the flash outside the 6'-8' range(8': very dim)
3 The more I zoom, the blurrer my pictures.
As regards the battery life, I am charging daily. But if my W910i experience is anything to go by, the battery life should improve as time goes by.
I am very glad I've got the time to experiment with every aspect of this phone. If I were still in the workforce, I would have pronounced this phone rubbish long ago. Now I am very happy about C901 except for the small screen. But then, life is full of compromises, isn't it?
