The thing is that problems are highlighted much more than the praises. I actually own a C905 and mine is the one that kelly referred to as the returned.
Look at the Nokia's of past, the N95 had major problems when it was first released, the e65 has had major problems as well. i won't be suprised if the same goes for the N97. But most of these phones still rate fairly high. Foibles are always easier to spot than good traits

People are quick to jump to conclusions, especially when it comes to attributing the blame to the closest uniform.

c905, 24 Jan 2009i have a question about this phone can you make an avi video with the camera and can you play ... moreavi!? haha. this sony ericsson, they dont do anything. but dont worry, all the other 3 8 megapixels play back Divx files, just typically it is sony ericsson who are lagging behind.
Enough with the speaker problems. Sony Ericsson definately had problems with the first productions units. -Some- of them hade speaker issues.
I work at the phone house and we have got acknowledgements that they issue is fixed.
Hope no one else sees it again!
It is truly a great phone, the innov8 might be better but thats what you get when adding another 30% to the price.

Has anyone heard of the press release of Sony about the 12.25 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor "Exmor(TM)" for Mobile Phones? Well, I recently read it and because of this press release, I can now confirm the materialization of an upcoming 12mp camera phone. I just don't know if sony ericsson will be the first to launch one but most likely, they will be the one because of Sony.
You can check the press release here:

I work in a phone shop too D, and u are being angry at the wrong people. Vodafone (or any phone service provider for that matter) didn't make the phone, therefore they are not responsible for the manufacturer's quality of the phone, the fact that the manager actually spend some time on the phone for you shows that he/she were genuinely trying to help you out. Dealing with faulty products and poor services can be frustrating, but, be fair dude. Spreading bad words about Voda based on your experience alone, to quote Frank Zappa, would be like "treating dandruff with decapitation"
