If I can get over this cheap keypad and slide mechanism I just might keep this thing for awhile. The camera and wifi are absolutely wonderful but whomever designed the D and Keypad needs to be fired! The slide isn't as loose as the notorious N95 was but it's still not up to par for SE. There's too much play in it and it's scratching the center row of my keypad up quite badly.

The people who are saying this phone is bad, are the poeple whoi have bought the N96 and regret it. they know this is a far better phone and cant take they are wasting their money on the N96. Jealousy is a terrible thing people..

Dani, 04 Dec 2008Welll your a Nokia fan, so obviously you would and its not that far better phone, it has it... morethe drawbacks are only on the features which dont even exist on the c905. and btw the n96 is a far more attractive looking handset.

btw i dont consider myself a nokia fan, i just give praise to the respective manufacturers if they have made a good phone worth buying.

it just seems sony ericsson never actually make a phone which competes with anyone :/

                    Hi all !!!!1
I need some help of choosing the phone. For the record i like SE very much. I have a SE K800i.
I am between SE C905 and Nokia 5800 xpressmusic.
I had nokia 7390 but taking picture with it was LOOOONG work and i just can't get use to it.
I like SE c905 'cause it isn't Symbian OS but i like loud speaker.
                    Thanks for some guide lines.

i have found this phone is more based upon K800i more than the K850i which is a good start. the only main problem i have with c905 is its slow at moving between menu screens, writing texts and searching contacts. the camera is gr8.

Umm I think its nice and its also Sony's slide phone in Cyber-Shit with 8.1MP. As for the thickness, I think its already very slim for a phone with 8.1MP... Mayb Im gonna get it soon.

Advait, 03 Dec 2008NO man it isn't free you need a data plan i.e. GPRS connection active to download map contents... moreGPS can be free for sure. I don't use the installed navigator ofcourse they charge you for that. Go to nav4all.com and download their free navigator. It's a basic one without advanced graphics and it uses (just a little bit) of internet data. But it works amazing with the GPS receiver (signal in a few sec) and it's free for a long time, perhaps even forever.

The phone is great, I swapped it once too though but there is one disbenefit in the material: when sliding it up and down in a few days the left 3 number key's get little scratches in top of them. They're hard too see but i've had two C905's now and they both had it in no time. I hope it doesn't get worse like the W580i/S500i broken key's.
