Why would anyone use their phone for video recording anyway?
most people use Standalone devices in the first place, since there just better at it.
Try compare a Phone's Camera Lense to a Standalone Video Recorders
and then tell me which you would take...
can anybody confirm if you can increase the font size like the nokias or do/should i stick to nokia...thanks
I had the opportunity to compare C905 and Innov8 and C905 is very disappointing, picture quality is horrible except when it comes to low light conditions, i cant comprehend the compliments for it.
Check this out, C905 is faster than N96(browsing the web)
An 8mp review in zimbio.com
" The Sony Ericsson C905 for me is the best of the bunch. The joint venture between Sony and Ericsson is really starting to bring some major advantages to the Sony Ericsson Cyber-Shot range. The imaging censor in the C905 is the same as the one used in a Sony Digital SLR Camera, and you really can tell. The images are clearer and sharper than the other 8MP handsets, and some of the camera features can’t be beaten. For night time shots, the C905 excels as it is one of the few cameraphones on the market that features a Xenon Flash, this gives much better lighting at night, more accurate colours and allows photo’s to be taken at a greater distance than an LED flash."
"All of these handsets seriously raise the bar when it comes to camera phones and all of them could easily replace your existing digital camera. If I had to choose just one of these handsets, then without doubt it would be the Sony Ericsson C905. The i8510 is an excellent phone, but if you don’t need all the bells and whistles and the extra functionality on it then the C905 will suit you perfectly."

Dani, 02 Nov 2008Its just a Camera Phone, didnt you see what he wrote!yeah and my argument is that camera and video goes hand in hand. thats like having a phone which can only text but cannot do phonecalls!
this phone should offer a replacement to a digital camera but because of the poor video quality, it cannot!

Just got a C905 and I have to say the picture quality of the phone is impressive, compare it with the sampsung 8mp phone and there's no competition, I'm still doing lots of experiments on the h/set.
N regrets and the battery life on the h/set is excellent too.
So if you want the best pic quality on a phone get the c905 otherwise it's upto you guys
Se is losing it big time.Juz because there's a video call function everyone assume that there's a second camera juz like my poor cousin who bought this. How can se do that? That's cheating u know???Can anyone tell me which fool gonna use video call on the main camera n record what's in front of u rather than your face???!!!What kind of stupid technology is this???!!!It doesn't make any sense at all!!!So those who needs video call function don't buy this phone.
My wife has had the C905 for a week now and I've had the Samsung I8510 for nearly 2 months. Though I'd share my views for those of you finding it difficult to decide between these two 8mp handsets.
The camera generally seems to produce better photos than the i8510.
The handset is obviously less bulky, looks better than the i8510.
It does feel a bit creaky and wonder how it will last.
Samsung i8510 -
The flash on the camera is too bright for taking photos close up.
This phone has more features having symbian operating system.
Browser is faster and easier to navigate web pages due to the optical joystick.
Video recording quality is excellent.
The i8510 is really solid, made mainly from metal.
Large internal memory 8gb / 16gb plus micro sd if you need it.
The i8510 has more features all round and is more robust.
The C905 is smaller, has better still camera and looks nicer.
Now i own the C905 and it seems its like a downgrade from my N82, i think im getting rid of it and upgrade to the Innov8.

The C905 just looks hardcore!

a real digital camera has usable video quality, some even shooting in HD. if nokia had VGA video back in 2003, why cant SE have it in 2008?
I love this phone only had it 24 hours and its ace, made full use of it last night (halloween) lol. thank you sony ericsson for bringin my dream fone out lol
This is a good phone, but it can not be compared to Innov8. That is a smartphone and this is just a camera with phone functionality. I am a big fan of SE, but, bleive me, SE is loosing these days. Its phone cannot be compared to new SAMSUNGs and NOKIAs. It has had a very bad draw back. It is becoming like MOTOROlA, (but not that bad, of course). I'm currently using G900, it is good, but would be better with higher CPU, (e.g. 300 MHz, now it is only 208 MHz) and VGA video. I'm really worried for SEs future.
