The C905 just looks hardcore!

a real digital camera has usable video quality, some even shooting in HD. if nokia had VGA video back in 2003, why cant SE have it in 2008?
I love this phone only had it 24 hours and its ace, made full use of it last night (halloween) lol. thank you sony ericsson for bringin my dream fone out lol
This is a good phone, but it can not be compared to Innov8. That is a smartphone and this is just a camera with phone functionality. I am a big fan of SE, but, bleive me, SE is loosing these days. Its phone cannot be compared to new SAMSUNGs and NOKIAs. It has had a very bad draw back. It is becoming like MOTOROlA, (but not that bad, of course). I'm currently using G900, it is good, but would be better with higher CPU, (e.g. 300 MHz, now it is only 208 MHz) and VGA video. I'm really worried for SEs future.
This is first and foremost a Camera Phone, full stop.
You should not compare it with other smart phones, SE makes no pretense about it. It should be treated as a Camera Phone, and the photos it snap are AMAZING (I know cos I have it).
Stop complaining about the Video quality, cos it is a Camera Phone and not a Video Phone, wait for (perhaps) a Handycam Phone from Sony or Sony Ericsson.
Yes, this phone is definitely not slim. The logic is to provide a good hold on the phone and prevent handshake when shooting. If the phone is too slim, shooting tend to shaking.
And the photo quality are really better than Samung or Nokia, I know cos I used Samsung Innov8 before and Nokia N85 and the regretful N96.
GPS and Wifi are its secondary features, it doesnt excel in them but it does a decent job.
If you want a Smartphone, then the C905 is definitely not for you.
C905 is not a perfect all-in-one phone, it doesnt pretend to be a Smartphone either, but it is a very good Camera Phone =)
We got this phone in the store, and believe me!! It's great. Really the phone rocks.
Still waiting for the X1 though.
SE CEO DOUCHEBAG, 31 Oct 2008This SE CEO guy is outta his mind, running his mouth over things he/she doesn't know. The Sony... moreSure the C905 is the nicer phone, but i got the innov8 because of its better functionallity, as the C905 lacks to much important functions (not smartphone,no 2nd Cam,no VGA recording,no 3,5mm AudioJack etc., Offboard-GPS is crap) And the S60 works really good and fast, SE is well known for laggy and buggy software so i don´t guess the C905 does a better job, and the camera is really amazing, better than C905 the seller told me, and he is right. My conclusion the Innov8 is the best solution for Mmultimedia and technic freaks, C905 is good for... sorry i dont know ...school kids? ;)
Guys please, i need to know.. how is the video camera ?? is it good ? and how long is the maximum video length ? cuz they're saying that it's limited..
There's no secondary cam for video calling. You can only use the main cam for video calling n the person you're calling can only see what is in front of you.Come on se,where's the logic!!!???Something so expensive n no proper video call???Give me a break man!!!
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Maybe your correct that some people aren't really capable for smartphones but it's a fact that some people prefer to work on laptaps rather than on to there cellphones. Just think, I would prefer to type and work on my laptop in making projets(Long projects, I mean) rather than working it on my cp.......
I got my C905 today, i had the choice of getting the LG renoir or the Innov8 or wait for the Samsung: the Innov8 is phone that "8" too much, its chunky and very heavy and feels plasticky - the LG Renoir is a bit of a ladies phone, without sounding sexist, its very "pretty" just seems like a Viewty in extra make up! and omg the software faults i experienced: lagging menus, applications closing on first runs, texting slow in showing on screen!
The C905 is amazing as a genuine camera phone, a true cybershot, the GPS / WiFi are very quick to work, and the browser upgrade is very complimentary to the device. You cannot compare this phone to the Samsung M8800 since they are different form factors. Though this phone does not record videos at high quality, the camera is better quality and it has amazing battery life - all round this phone is a very good build, very sexy and masculine curves and responsive menus
I see that a lot of people are confused whether the c905 has secondary cam or not.
1. It has NO secondary camera.
2. It HAS video call - via main camera.

i heard that this phone has video call but not front camera,it means that u can use the back camre.i have no idea about how!!!!!!!!!
This SE CEO guy is outta his mind, running his mouth over things he/she doesn't know. The Sony C905 is a beautiful device, the only lacking feature is VGA resolution for video taking. The Innov8 is a great phone, but its huge, attracts fingerprints, and the symbian os has a weird samsung touch which confuses alot of people. If you want a phone that takes great pictures and is just very handy, get the C905. If you want a smart phone with every last quality, get the innov8. The innov8 remids me of the N95, everything in in a bad package. On paper the innov8 is great, but the C905 in actuality is better. So, SE CEO person, get outta ur moms basement and get wit the program ok. :P
