only if this phone has a 16GB edition it would be such a hit !!! but still not bad at all actually best in the market
you ask why are they increasing the megapixel resolution if they arent going to increase its quality?
simply because its a marketing gimick
where else can you get to sell new products if there isnt anything new?
would your average joe bother reading the whole specs about focal length, lens quality, processor, sensor etc???
chances are, they are going to just look for the easy way on how to "know which is new or which is better"
and the producers have to make a mark that this device is more capable than the other device
which is why they put in more megapixels
but in fact more megapixels doesnt always mean you have a better quality picture than the lower megapixel camera
its all about marketing
same goes for computers with marketing higher cpu clock speed or gigahertz

More megapixels means you can also capture more colors. I just thought of it when I compared shots from .3, 1.3, 2 and 5 meg SE camphones...
does anyone know, if the camera on this is going to be better than the samsung innov8, im torn.

you see...why does the mars rover "spirit" send out high quality images even at less than 1mp ?
its not a fact that the higher the resolution=better quality

the bigger the Focal Length of the Lense = Better Quality of Picture
Position of Auto-focus = So the focus doesnt go out of focus
Yes its true, the BIGGER the resolution, the higher the quality of the image.
its true even with phones.

Here is a test:
See for example you have 1.3megapixel on your left and 8megapixel on your right, which take a better picture then? Im pretty sure you go with the 8mp, right?
Technically speaking, the higher the resolution is the better its quality.
Why they are increasing there megapixels if the quality is too bad or just the same as 1.3megapixels? Think of it!
