Hey people,

The C905 will no longer be using Samsung camera module, it will be using a more advanced module made by sony.

Video resolution is realy a BIG problem. Who needs 8 mpx camera? Who is going to make posters of his pictures? And do you really think that a camera phone can make a quality, I mean a realy quality picture in a litle bit darker place? NO! So 5 mpx are more than enough to take amateur pictures of something unexpected. But the video resolution is way too low. It should be at least VGA so that we could see anything while playing it! Hope that SE are going to fix this sooner. I realy like their phones, especially their menus and I don't want to take Nokia because of this.
          Cheers, vip_kns

Video recording at qvga. God! When 'll sony ericsson grow up. Lg kc910 has 8mp camera with vga video recording at 30 fps and qvga at 120 fps, much better than sony's qvga at 30 fps, plus kc910 has divx, xvid player, and lastly not to forget kc910 comes with dolby mobile technology for good audio quality. All these at very same price, now its upto people to decide how intelligent they are.!!!

Gogo, sorry if you misinterpret my post. What I just mean is that your comparing sizes... And I think videos and pictures are more or less just the same when it comes to sizes or resolution.

And lastly, I don't think that N82 is a replacement for a real digi camera because it doesn't even have some of the latest technology in digital camera like face detection and optical zoom, I think samsung G810 is far most better than N82. Maybe N82 is a replacement for not too old digicam but it doesn't not stack up in the latest ones.

At least it has a useful function "cyber-shot" to take the best movement object & "PhotoFix" just in 1 press can do auto adjust brightness of photo.
                          Anyone notice that?
It's seem you all talking the best camera only.
The bigger megapixels definately can take wider resolution picture and means also can capture more information.

Bizo, 18 Sep 2008I agree with you. 8 MP doesn't make picture better, it only makes it bigger (3264x2448 pixels)... moren82 photo quality is exceptional though and yes is actually a replacement for a real digi camera

thats something the cybershot range cant achieve. the photos are too washed out and the video cant replace a normal camera.

This phone is good, very good, excellent, but it's not the best, even in camera. Nokia N82 is confirmed as best cameraphone in the world in 2008 not because it has 5 MP, but it's all in all good (video recording, speed of camera, 5MP, xenon flash etc.) I have nothing against Sony ericsson, because I have K800i and I'm very proud to have it, but I hate when people talk thing they don't know!!! greetings

@shino03 i just said btw video is in crappy 320x240 resolution...
megapixels does NOT mean quality of photo, its just resolution, size of picture... qulity of picture is in true colors, sharpness.. dont know for you but i will rather choose 2mp from slr camera than 20mp from any mobile phone;)
2mp slr camera will almost always take perfect picture, while mobile phone with his 8mp will often take blurry images... and you will said that that 8mp crappy blurry picture is better quality than perfect 2mp from slr?
and as i said, 95% of you use images only on your computers and 90% use max 1280x1024 resolution on your computer... so you wont see difference between 2mp 1600x1200 and 8mp 3200x2500.
and sorry if something isnt understandable, im pretty bad with english, i tryed to explain best i can;)

bigger resolution does not always mean better quality

it always depends...bigger res only means bigger picture

with regards to the video recording

it should be noted that video resolution
                                  are small

                                  very small

and thats why for now...it is quite important for video resolution to go high

unlike pictures I mean how big do you reaolly need a picture to be?

2 megapixels is enough to fill the whole screen of the computer

                                  unlike in video

352x288 although is quite commmon and useable

                                  is still measly

You said that megapixels(which is the resolution of the picture)doesn't matter but you also said that the phone is crap because it has a low resolution in video recording???

I agree with gogo, pixels doesnt mean good in quality no matter how many pixel you got if the picture blurred up then its just rubbish, you be having many pixels of blurred and plus even tho you have so many pixels if the phone processes the camera slow then the quality of the picture will also turn bad, pixels basically means the size of the picture. but im sure with this new model it can handle the quality
