Who cares who done what with the X1? It's still Sony's like it or not. Just because I buy an American car does not mean that most of the parts are not from somewhere else..........

This is clearly going to be a successful imaging flagship for Sony Ericsson, particularly after price adjustments in the second quarter of 2009.
As for the wider question of Sony Ericsson's future it would be regretable if the company was to part. It would appear that the main reason for certain executives at Sony wanting to do this are purely to satisfy analysts who think only in the immediate term as far as company profitability is concerned. Sony and Ericsson should place more emphasis on developing class leading communications devices and solutions over the longer term (which they are more than capable of doing) and less on simnply maximising shareholder value for the next quarter. One should remember why Sony Ericsson became successful in the first place, leading up to a great following among consumers globally: innovation. From this came market share, and from that profitability. Let's hope that senior executives at Sony and Ericsson resist the temptation to ruin a great alliance and to further build on Sony Ericsson's great contribution to global communications.

well i fink its basically coz all sony ericsson do is release more or less same walkman phones but different designs n ders no imporvements in hardware or software. since they released their first walkman phone have u notice any changes in hardware ? nope. they still use same boring CPU, Memory, Mono Speaker and to make it worse some walkman phones dont even produce good sound quality.
if sony made Symbian OS based phone like nokia and implemented more hardware like nokia do sony ericsson no doubt would have been on top. for example if sony made a update version of K850i lets say they used 8MP Cybershot, give users with onboard 8GB memory coz 8MP pictures will take up more space and add video recording at 30FPS n enable support for Divx like the LG. sony got boring OS u can only install java apps.
Samsung use to make some of there phone symbian based n look how sucessful they are. they even more sucessful than sony. i fink symbian OS is the way to go forward. i have a dodgy feeling that X1 might get cancelled from Sony to cut their loss.

after reading several posts.. all i wanne say is..
nothing is perfect. nothing lasts forever. You yourselves arent perfect so dont expect a perfect phone. -Be grateful- that this is an 8mp phone, and alr has 2gig. stop expecting so much man! come on!!
you can have your own preferences, but stop slamming other brands alright! its stated in the rules. nokia fans, please go away if youre here to crap. and dont bring up the past. even if sony really did use to make the screens for nokia or whatever, its the past and all the phones turned out rather nicely anyway..
once again,, you can support your fave brand(s)..! but DONT slam others.
and as for myself.. my heart belongs to..
